CHAPTER 10

"Ihstan, do you want to join the Table Tennis team for City Meet?" Micah asked me when I entered the room. "Look. We need four more members to complete our team."

I immediately focused my attention to Micah who was waiting my answer. It's been ages since I last played table tennis. I used to compete in City Meet when I was in elementary, and I stopped playing when I went to high school because I need to focus on my academics.

Now, the table tennis game is here again, waiting for me?

"I know you are a grade conscious, Ihstan. However, just give this a try. Please." Micah hopefully smiled at me.

"When's the practice or training?" I asked.

"After the foundation day, because our school needs to select their best athletes to compete in City Meet." She stated, and I was still doubting myself, double-thinking if I can give this game a try. Again. "W-What? Are you G?"

"What about those students who won during our Intramurals?" I asked curiously.

Micah sighed. "They don't want to join anymore because they were being threatened in other schools." She honestly answered.

Micah looked like she cannot find a hope from me after what she just said. They are threatened, huh?

"Just write my name, but I can't promise to win. I will just represent our school." I informed her.

Micah changed her reaction and jumped because of my answer. She did expect that, did not she? I just massage my nose and sit, waiting for Ritzieh to enter the class.

Table Tennis was my game back then. I was in the play of singles. This game was also the reason why I failed one of my subjects, but still grateful that I represented my beloved elementary school -
Sisanro Elementary School.

"What's with that face?" Ritzieh pointed my face when she entered the class.

I sighed. "Nothing. What did you two talk about?" I asked curiously, changing the topic.

"It's all about what happened this past few days." She answered. "Then, of course the foundation day activities." Ritzieh added then she offered me some of her cube chocolates.

"About Justine? Did you already move on?" I asked carefully.

"Not yet. And yes, I do still have feelings for him, but I do not care at all. He already left the Philippines." She answered which made me stunned for a while. "Therefore, that was good. I consider myself as a free now." Ritzieh genuinely smiled.
