CHAPTER 14
"I am going to Rico's birthday party after class. Are you going?"
I stopped writing the poetry that I was doing that we will pass in afternoon class. I looked at Kaldhi who was sitting in front of me, waiting for my answer.
"No. I am not done yet in our English assignment." I answered. "Are you going?" I asked back.
"Yes. I need to chill. Besides, Rico assisted me in our group presentation earlier so I need to give back the credits."
"Okay."
"Can you go home alone, Ihstan?" Kaldhi asked doubtfully.
I laughed and kicked him softly. "Of course I can. I am not an elementary kid anymore, bastard! Just enjoy and drink responsibly." I advised him.
After our afternoon class, Kaldhi and his colleagues were eager to attend Rico's birthday party. Well, Rico was our wealthiest classmate, so I'm sure his visitors would have a great time. I've also heard that there was a pool party.
"Are you sure that you will commute? You can ride my bike and I will just ride in Joran's car." Kaldhi insisted and his idea was nice. "I know you can commute but what if some people suddenly climb into the jeep and take your things or maybe they will point a knife at you." He added ridiculously.
"Shut up, bastard! That will not gonna happen."
Kaldhi had always been quite protective of me since we were kids. My head shook. Fine! I will follow his suggestion because I don't want him to be concerned about me. To be honest, I know how to commute and am not an inexperienced. As long as my bike was not in a good condition, I commute by jeep. A lot of taxi drivers in this city is bogus that is why I can't trust them. However, I didn't bring my bike because I wasn't in the mood to drive, so I rode in Kaldhi when he picked me up.
"Fine. Give me the key of your bike." I ended our conversation because of his worried reaction. "Now, go and enjoy! Don't worry about me Kaldhi because I can handle myself. I will text you when I am home."
Kaldhi nodded and handed over his key before heading to Joran's car. He waved his hand, then I unlocked his bike, and started driving. I kept pedaling until I felt the back tire was flat. I massage my nose because of disappointment.
I was ready to call Kaldhi, but I changed my mind because I didn't want to ruin his most wonderful day. After a few minutes, my irritation level increased when the rain began to pour, so I instantly stopped the jeep that was approaching and began carrying Kaldhi's bike. I felt relieved when I got on, but my clothes were soaked.
When Kaldhi abruptly called, I felt embarrassed in front of the passengers who were staring at me. This bastard! He's way too protective! It irritates me at times. I was ready to respond his call when I noticed the various reactions of the passengers.
"What's happening?" One of the passengers asked the driver.
"Manong, slow down. You're driving too fast." Another passenger complaint in the driver.
I blinked again and ignored Kaldhi's call. Then I looked at the passengers' expressions, and they were all anxious and scared. A child was already shouting and there were more of passengers' complaints to the driver. As a result, I became afraid and my mind was blanked. I'm at a loss on what to do. My grasp on the bike grew firmer.
"I am losing my breaks. Hold on!" The jeepney driver said.
My heart was racing. The rain became increasingly heavy. Because the jeep's movement turned zigzag, I had the impression that the road was slippery. The passengers' shouts were audible, and some were already praying.
When a big truck suddenly rushed in our direction and was about to hit us, I jumped into the jeep and discovered myself bleeding. I was relieved since I had shielded my head. My blood became diluted in the rain. Fortunately, there were kind people who came to assist me. But as soon as I saw the jeep and the truck, my heart ached, and that causes me a trauma of commuting and riding into a jeep.
I was the only survivor of that jeep, and I was saddened because all of the passengers, including the drivers, passed away.
"Ihstan! Ihstan! Ihstan!"
Tears were streaming down on my face when I heard Kaldhi's voice beside me. What happened? My eyes were blurry because of my tears. Did I just dream the trauma that I wish did not exist? I wiped my face and saw the worried face of Kaldhi.
Kaldhi immediately gave me a tight hug. I looked at the window and it's already dark outside. What is he still doing here? He mentioned me earlier that they have a family dinner.
"Fvck! I was glad you're okay."
"I'm okay, Kaldhi. What happened? Where is mom and dad?" I asked him curiously.
"You were hit by a baseball ball. I called Tita and Tito earlier but they were not answering my texts and calls. So I don't know where they are."
"And Ritzieh?"
"She already left. She was here after an hour."
I looked at my surrounding and I was not in my room.
"I am in your room."
"Yes. I brought you here because I don't have a key in your house. You were conscious earlier when we got home but you felt sleepy and fell sleep again." Said Kaldhi, hugging me again as if he was about to lose me. "Fvck! I was worried. Fvck! We brought you in the clinic and your head had a big wound because of the ball's impact. How do you feel?" He panicked, but I just laughed.
"I am okay. I need to go home. You have a family dinner tonight." I said to him and was about to stand but he prevented me.
"Mom and dad had already left. They will still meet their business partner that was canceled because of our family dinner, but don't blame yourself for that. The important thing now is that you are okay," Kaldhi stated as he took the piece of medicine and water beside me. "Drink this. Mom told me to take care of you.
I drank the medicine Kaldhi had given me. He called and texted my parents again, but they were still not answering.
"Ignore it. I'm sure they were busy."
Kaldhi gave me a nod. "Are you hungry?"
"I am not."
After a few minutes, Kaldhi touched me to see if I was hot, which I was not. I noticed his pinkish lips. He didn't look away from me. I studied Kaldhi's face until our gazes locked. We were both perplexed.
My heart raced when I realized, one time, that I still hadn't had my first kiss. Until I noticed our tongues dancing together. Kaldhi and I were kissing. I was about to say something when Kaldhi interrupted me.
My energy gradually dwindled. When Kaldhi kissed me on the neck, I disregarded the pain in my head.
"This is wrong Kaldhi." I said but he did not care. "Fvck!" I was liking it, honestly.
Kaldhi licked and sucked again my innocent lips down into my nipples as he played them. I'm at a loss on what to do. I have no strength to push him away because he is my bestfriend. I did not yet do that to him. I was afraid.
I found myself naked and responding to Kaldhi's lovely kisses. My tears were flowing, but Kaldhi simply wiped them away. Our tongues were once again dancing. I shut my eyes and let this bastard steal my innocence. Because this was my first kiss, I was not good. I was not ready.
"I know, Ihstan. I know." Kaldhi whispered on my ear. "I love Ritzieh, but I am worried about you." He just said. "I promised. Just this night."
I nodded in agreement until I realized Kaldhi smelled like a beer. Is he inebriated? As he said, just this night. I kept responding to his kisses until we helped each other remove our pants down.
We didn't say anything until Kaldhi attempted his sword at me. He gasped as I sucked it for a couple of minutes. I believe he was at a loss for words. And the next thing I knew, Kaldhi was hurting me while kissing me on the lips until I could feel his juice inside of me.
"You worried me." Kaldhi sobbed and hugged me. "I love you, Ihstan."
