CHAPTER 17
In the following weeks, I always found myself exhausted when I climbed to my bed. I don't feel the pain of my back head anymore. The nurse also ended her duty in me which was a good thing.
In the first week of my practice in table tennis, however, I observed that I always ate a lot of food during dinner and sleeping for just two hours because I always need to study. Plus, stress-eating also was involved which is not healthy for my body. Luckily, I had a time to move during my practices in table tennis.
I had missed two quizzes too but good thing when I took my special quiz in the faculty I got a passing score. I also obtained the highest grade in our painting project and even made my teacher cried in my reflection paper.
Ritzieh and I always accompany each other during lunch and continues to act as a rivals. Kaldhi was still the same. He has his business in their Student Council office. He was just available during recess time.
"I think the maroon one suits to you better. You look amazing in that."
Kaldhi and I were helping Ritzieh to choose her gown in her upcoming debut on Saturday. We were in the Nadyaimond, the most popular place in our city to look for gowns. We almost spent our day in this place just to choose the best gown for Ritzieh. She said this was just once in a life time so Kaldhi and I were understandable and patience to accompany her.
Today is holiday so this is a chance for us to look the best gown for Ritzieh. And I also don't have a practice in table tennis. Our coach canceled it last night.
"What do you think, Ihstan, about the maroon?" Ritzieh asked my opinion.
"I'm fine with it, but are you comfortable wearing that?"
"Yes."
"So maroon is the final then. I just wanna say that you were ugly when you fit that but I don't wanna lie." I joked and we three laughed.
After picking for Ritzieh's best gown; we take out fast food in Jollibee because we also need to make an invitation for Ritzieh's debut. While Ritzieh's driver heading to their house, we were singing a song and eating some popcorn. We took a selfie and I posted it on my Instagram.
I was about to drink my coke float when Jeff sent me a message.
jeffrheineartienda [Hi, Ihstan. Thanks for keeping Micah and I relationship. I am now confident to say to the whole world that she only belongs to me.]
ihstanillonois [Jeff, I was expecting that honestly. Congratulations to the both of you. You can now finally breathe.] I formally replied with a smile.
"OMG! The fvck?! Is this true?!"
I raised my eye brows when Ritzieh raised her voice. Her driver suddenly braked because of her. Kaldhi laughed. I looked the photo in Ritzieh's phone when I saw Jeff's post on Instagram with Micah with a caption, "My sunshine."
I pretended to not know about the information. I also opened my Instagram and Jeff post welcomed me. I commented that they should keep stay strong. Some of our classmates also commented positive but at the same time shocked like this bitch besides me.
Few minutes later, we arrived at Ritzieh's house. We straightened to the living room and began to plan the lay-out of her invitations. Ritzieh's only girl cousin, Ikah, arrived too just to assist us.
"Feel comfortable, Ikah." Said Kaldhi to her and smiled.
Ikah is in grade 9. She is also part of the Student Council like Kaldhi, but she is under the Junior High School officers. I heard that she is the Vice President.
Nonetheless, I was responsible for the lay-out for the invitations so I wanted it to be unique. I did not trust Canva or Pinterest at all to get a basis. I have an originality to make the perfect invitation for Ritzieh.
"I can do this." I told to myself.
I sighed before putting the best pictures of Ritzieh during her photoshoot last month. And because her dress in her photoshoot was white and her chosen gown was maroon. It's hard for me to adjust the coloring and also chose the best fonts. It was definitely challenging and this was honestly my first time to create my own invitation.
I stayed in front of the laptop for two hours when Ritzieh's mother, tita Rita, delivered us some sweet snacks. She talked for us in a seconds before leaving. The apple chips made me more active when I tasted it. It was delicious. I tried also the home made mochi of tita Rita that she prepared. It was delicious too.
"Oh, my God, bitch! This is superb." Ritzieh slapped my head after seeing her invitation output. "I am so excited right now."
"Thanks! Does not the color hurt the eyes?" I asked.
"What?! Hell no?! It's amazing. Right?" She asked Kaldhi and Ikah.
"Yeah. It's great. I have no idea you were good in stuff like that." Kaldhi commented. "I definitely like the color combination and of course the beautiful person in the invitation." Kaldhi added and Ritzieh giggled.
Yuck!
Kaldhi and I stayed for dinner in Ritzieh's house. We had a casual conversation with her family and we felt welcomed and comfortable, especially in Ritzieh's dad. Kaldhi, on the other hand, promised to always love, care, and look for their daughter that is why I was very proud of Kaldhi for saying that.
We assisted Ritzieh to distribute the invitation in the next day. Kaldhi was responsible in the faculty and I was responsible in our classroom while Ritzieh was responsible in other sections for her former classmates.
"What will be your gift to her?" I asked Kaldhi when we accidentally met in the library.
"I have no idea. Maybe a dress or perfume? I don't know."
"That's very common, bastard!" I chuckled. "Give her some memorable gift like necklace or it is better if it is a trip or so on. The thing that she won't definitely forget. Again make it memorable." I suggested.
"I will keep that on my mind."
