Chapter 4

Chap 4

***Selenas POV***

I woke up to the bright light and I squinted my eyes.  My windows were wide open.  I got up and shut them so there wasn't so much light.  I went downstairs looking for Justin.  Then I saw a note on the kitchen island.

It read "Went out of town, has to do with work.  I'll be gone for about 3 or 4 days.  I'll call to check up on you and you better answer this time! Oh and stat out of trouble! -Justin"

I rolled my eyes and crumpled up the paper and threw it out.  We just got here and he's already leaving me alone. Well at least there's no school today.  I went upstairs and put on blue jeans, black converse, and a light pink long sleeve shirt with a white tank top underneath.  I put on my silver heart necklace that my parents gave me when I was born.  I picked it up and looked at it for a minute and then i let it fall on my chest.  I fixed my hair.  I put a little clip at the top and let the rest of my curls fall down my back and on my shoulders.  I put on a light jacket, grabbed my phone and some money and headed for the door. 

I walked about a block and then stopped.  I thought for a minute, where am I going?  I knew no one here and I had no idea where I was going. 

I walked into a cute little shop that sold glasses and hair things and hats it was really cute.

"Need help?"  One of the girls asked.  Well actually the only girl asked.  It was just me and her in the store.  She sat at the desk reading some magazine.

She looked about my age actually.  She was a Chinese girl with short curly hair that was slightly longer on one side.  She had really dark brown hair with a little black and really light brown highlights, it looked really cool!  She wore a red t-shirt with ripped blue jeans and combat boots.  She seemed like the ton-boy type of girl.

"No thanks, I'm just looking." I told her, then I said this mostly to myself, "I don't even know why I'm in here.."

She laughed, I guess she heard me. "Hahaa, thres lots of stuff in here, I'm sure you'll find somthing that appeals to you."

I held a key ring in my hand examining it, "Is this your shop?"

"Nahh, my moms.  As you could see it's just me and you in here, so that's why I'm working it now."

I smiled.  Then she asked me. "Are you new here?"

"Yea, how'd you know?" I put the key ring back and walked over to the glasses.

"Never seen you before. Usually everyone in town comes here once or twice, so I know everyones face."

I didn't say anything.  She went in the back to get somthing.  I looked around for about ten minutes.  Then I saw a bucket of feathers, who knows why they were there.  But, me being my stupid self I decided to experiment. 

I let my hand reach out and control the feathers.  I made about 5 of them float in a circle.  I smiled, I loved to do this so much.  I remembered when I was 5 and I made my first feather float, my parents were so proud and I was too.  But then I heard her come back in and I just stared at her.  Great, not again!

"What are you doing?!" she exclaimed at me.

I quickly dropped them right back into the bucket and said, "N-nothing..."

"No! I saw that!". She was running over to me.

"Saw w-what?"

She glared at me and then whispered, "You were making 5 feathers float." I opened my mouth but then she interrupted and said a little louder, "Don't lie! I saw you doing it!!"
