Chapter 21

Chap 21

***Selenas POV***

We got in the car and drove to where klaus was staying. I was in a panic mode. I had no idea what we were gonna do. Stefan was driving so fast that I think if he stopped short we would've flipped over.

When we got there I jumped right out of the car and ran. Stefan was right behind me and grabbed my arm turning me to face him.

"Wait! We can't just barge in there! We need to think of somthing!" he whisper screamed at me.

I rolled my eyes, "Umm ok, we go in, grab Damon, Jenna and my brother and go." I said with a thumbs up.

"No, he's gonna obviously know."

We both just stood there. I sighed and looked at the house. I saw Catherine through one of the windows just walking back and forth talking. I walked towards the window.

"Hey, where are you going?" Stefan asked following me.

"Through that window." I said as I started to climb the house but he stopped me.

"Wait, let me."

He went up to the window and broke the hook to open it. I got in and he got in after me. There stood Catherine and Damon was tied at his wrists still passed out on the couch.

"You need to leave." Catherine whispered to us.

"Why?" Stefan whispered back.

But before she could answer, Klaus and Elijah were in the room and klaus with a grin on his face. He came closer to me.

"So nice of you two to come." he said looking at me with open arms.

I took a step back and Stefan automatically stepped more infront of me and I didn't move.

"What do you want klaus?" Stefan asked.

He dropped his arms, "I should be asking you the same question."

We all just stood there. I was trying to think of some spell but I couldn't think of anything.

"Well?" he asked looking at me smiling.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked and he raised his eye brows, "Why do you have my brother, Jenna, and Damon, what do you want?"

He came closer to me pushing Stefan out of the way and I looked up at him. He put his hand on my face and I just glared at him while he cupped my face with both of his hands.

"You are a very bad girl Selena!" he smirked, "I heard what you did after school with..." I widened my eyes and felt my face get hot. "Well you know who deary."

"Shut up and tell me what you want?" I said through gritted teeth and i pushed his hands off of me.

"I want you to do what I say." he whispered.

"I will." I said but he looked surprised when I said that. "But, you need to promise to let Justin Jenna and Damon go. Now, oh and Catherine."

He smiled, "You promise?"

Stefan looked at me shaking his head.

I swallowed hard and said, "Yea."

He smiled. "Elijah bring Justin and Jenna home safely. Catherine go, and you two could take Damon home."

"Oh and can you erase Justins memory?" I spit out, he looked at me curiously, "Just tell him that he went away on a business trip."

He just nodded and then they were gone. It was just me, Stefan, Damon, and Catherine.

"Wow," Catherine said laughing a little, then she looked at me sorta worried, "You do realize what you just told him right?"

I nodded. Feeling tears in my eyes as i stared out the window not meeting anyones eyes.

Stefan came over to me, "We'll think of somthing."

I just shook my head and I saw Damon sitting up. I ran over to him and they both followed. I sat next to him to support him.

"Whats going on?" he asked completely out of it, "Where am I? And oww my head!"

"Let's get outta here." Stefan as he undid the ropes and put Damons arm on his shoulder and I got his other side.

When we got to Damon and Stefans house Stefan and Catherine left to go to see Elena. I was really hoping Jeremy wouldnt say anything.

Damon laid upstairs in bed with his head hurting. I went into the basement and held my nose getting some blood for him. I put it in a glass and headed upstairs. I eased open the door and he was laying down. He smiled when he saw me and I smiled back shutting the door behind me. He sat up.

"Here," I said giving him the glass, "I thought you might need it."

He drank it and then put the glass on the counter. I sat next to him and he layed back down putting his head in my lap. I let my fingers play with his hair and he shut his eyes smiling. I smiled too and then my smile quickly faded when I thought of doing this with Jeremys hair.. I shook my head. I need to get him out of my head right now. I sighed. Then Damon opened his mouth and was about to say somthing.

"Shhh you need to rest, ok?" i told him as I looked into his blue eyes that were full of pain but also joy.

"But I want to know what-" he said in protest but I cut him off.

"I 'll tell you later." I whispered.

He reached for my other hand and intertwined our fingers while my other hand was still in his hair. I automatically got butterflies. We held eachothers hands tight, not letting go. He slowly shut his eyes resting. I looked at the clock and it was about 8. I pulled away from him and stood up, he looked at me disappointed.

"I'll be right back." I said as I headed downstairs.

Stefan was home and he ran over to me and was about to scream but I quickly covered his mouth. "I don't want to tell Damon what I did yet, please don't say anything?" I whispered. He was annoyed but nodded.

I mouthed the words thankyou and went back upstairs. When I opened the door damon was sitting back up on the bed. He smiled and I smiled too, again, as I walked over to him. I looked at him and felt tears in my eyes.

"Whats wrong?" he asked worried and his smile faded.

I wasn't sure if I was crying because I missed him and was scared he was hurt or because I made a deal with klaus and I might never see him again OR because I kissed Jeremy and i was completely confused...

I felt the tears run down my face, "Never do that again," i said through the tears, "you had me scared to death."

He stood up about to say somthing but then I automatically wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist. He rubbed my back and I felt more tears go down my face. I started crying and he whispered in my ear, "I'm sorry for what I said to you, I swear I didn't mean any of it. I'll always be here for you, and to protect you."

That made me cry harder and I said, "I know."

"And I'm sorry for worrying you and getting drunk." he said still in pain.

"It's ok." I whispered.

He pulled away and looked down at me. I looked up at him and he cupped my face with his hands whipping away my tears. He laughed a little, "Why are you crying?"

"It's not funny," I said hitting him in the shoulder knowing it didnt hurt him, "I thought something happened to you. You couldve gotten hurt!!!"

"I'm fine, I'm right here." he said smiling at me.

I was about to say somthing but then Stefan called from downstairs, "Selena?! Come down for a sec!"

I pulled away from Damon and whipped my tears. He sat down and I looked back at him not moving, just staring at him uncertain, he laughed, "I'll be right here."

I went downstairs and Stefan stood there in his jacket and smiled at me. "Umm your brother is on the phone," he said handing me the phone.

I took it and answered, "Hey."

"Hey, sorry I was gone so long, how is everything?"

I folded my arms, "Everythings fine, how was you umm oh what was it? Business trip?"

"Oh it was good, I'm so stressed from working so much."

"Yea sure you are." I couldve argued but I didn't want to fight with him anymore.

"Yeaa...so where are you?"

"At Stefans. I'll be home soon."

"Ok, I might not be home though until tomorrow morining, I'm going to a friends house."

"Oh ok, bye then."

"Bye."

We hung up and Stefan looked at me, "Everything ok?" he asked.

I smiled a small smile and nodded. Then he grabbed me by the arm closer to him whispering in my ear, "We need to talk about you know what tomorrow."

He pulled away and walked back out to his car. I hung up the phone and walked back upstairs. When I saw Damon he was laying down in bed. When he saw me he smiled as he did the other times I walked in. I could tell his head still hurt but he would never admit it to me. I walked over and layed next to him wrapping my arms around his neck. He put his head on my shoulder and I leaned my cheek on his head.

"I have a question." he said quietly.

"Yes." I whispered.

He looked up at me confused, "How come when you found out I was a vampire, you didn't run? You stayed."

I smiled at him and simply said, "Why should I run?"

"I'm a vampire, I could seriously hurt you." he looked shocked that i asked that.

I shook my head. "I don't believe you would." I played with his hair and he leaned back against my shoulder closing his eyes. "I trust you Damon."

He smiled. "Really?"

"Yes." I said as I nodded my head.

"That means a lot to me coming from you." he whispered and I felt my face blush and I smiled and then he continued, "Selena? You know that old ball tomorrow?"

I smiled, it was the yearly ball mystic falls had where all the girls wear long gowns and the boys wear tuxes and we would dance outside. I havent even thought about it. "Yea?" I said.

"Do you want to go with me?"

I smiled even wider, "I don't really know if I want to but.." I said sarcastically.

He laughed and I laughed too.

"Of course I'll go with you Damon Salvator."

He smiled and then said, "Oh and remember when we went to the grill for the first time?"

I thought for a mimute, smiling at the memory, "Yes?"

"Well you never told me if I was lovely or not." he said smirking.

"You are very lovely." I whispered in his ear then gently kissed his forehead.
