YOU (RICK GRIMES)

PART SEVENTEEN

Rick and Hailey walk outside and walk past two Walkers that are close to them. The Walkers briefly look at them, but the Walkers smell dead on them so they don't bother. Rick and Hailey crawl under a bus and come out on the other side where a huge hoard of Walkers is waiting for them. Rick and Hailey continue to shuffle through the crowd without any Walkers noticing that they are alive.

Its been awhile now since Rick and Hailey going at a walkers Pace. She could hear thunder start to roll around as Rick and Hailey gave each other glances. 

"Don't worry," Rick mumbles to not draw attention as a walker was following behind Hailey in question. 

Rick and Hailey try not to panic as they continue to walk at the normal pace. They notice it starts to rain and that the rain is starting to wash of the guts. The Walkers are starting to get a whiff of life walking past them and they start to get a little more aggressive towards Rick and Hailey as they try to figure out if they are dead or alive.

"Rick," Hailey whispers worriedly as they start to hurry themselves. "The rain will wash it off,"

"Don't panic, panic only makes it worse." he respond as Hailey gives Rick a side glance. 

She knew what she had to do as she closed her eyes.

"I love you Rick!" Hailey says before breaking away from him as she started to scream loudly to draw the walkers off of Rick. 

"NO! Damnit you idiot!" He shouts as hundreds of walkers were following her as she raised the gun up in the air and began to shoot to draw even more noise. 

Rick quickly begins to run over the fence as he threw his stuff over the fence and began to climb it. His main concern was Hailey. He ran until he got to the compartment box with the keys, grabbed them and proceeded to drive the truck. 

"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!" Glenn shouted over the radio. "IS HAILEY TRYING TO KILL HERSELF?!"

"Just get the others ready! We gotta go now!"

"WE CANT LEAVE HER!"

"I KNOW! I'M WORKING ON IT!" 

More shooting was heard in the distance as Rick was driving as fast as he could to get to the others. Her stupidity is what will drive him insane. 

Back on the roof Glenn was panicking. He couldn't believe Hailey would risk her own life to save Rick's. 

"Does anybody see Hailey?!" Glenn asked before grabbing the binoculars from Morales as he searched the streets for her. 

He finally found her trying to start up a car with a whole bunch of walkers surrounding her. He could see she was panicking and trying to hotwire the car. 

"I have to go! I need to save her! She will die!"

"It was her choice to break free!" Morales shouted. 

"SO WE SHOULD LET HER DIE?! YOU ASSHOLE I FUCKING LOVE HER!" Glenn shouted hitting Morales in the chest making him stumble. 

"Glenn, think rationally about this if you go out there you might not make it back!" Andrea said as he shook his head. 

"I dont care, I'm going to save her! you guys get ready to go!" Glenn said before breaking off from the roof causing the others to call out his name. 

Meanwhile Hailey knew it was a stupid idea, she was in the red sports car trying to get the car to work as it was shaking back and forth by the walkers that were surrounding it. She closed her eyes as she gave up on trying to hot wire the car knowing she was going to die. She would at least die knowing she told Rick she loves him. 

A tear streamed down her face as the glass was starting to break. It was only a matter of time..... That was until shooting was heard down the streets. Hailey opened her eyes to see most of the walkers walking towards the sound of shooting. Someone was going to rescue her. 

Glenn ran down the street as fast as he could, he had a plan to circle his way back to Hailey as Rick was going to get the others. Walkers were trying to run after him, a whole group of walkers. He cut through another building as it would lead directly to Hailey if he got out safely Before the walkers can get to him, he closed the door on their faces and locked it securely. 

He took in deep breaths as pounding and groaning was all he could hear in the darkness. Once he got his breathing under control he went through the building with his flashlight and found his exit with the back door where she was located. He quickly but quietly pushed open the back door as only one walker was roaming the building. 

He waited until the shuffling of feet was gone before opening the door as he banged on the door of Hailey's car who was sitting in the drivers seat. Her eyes widened at Glenn as she quickly unlocks the door as he gets in. 

"ARE YOU STUPID?!" Glenn shouted at her just as she finally got the chance to hot wire the car. 

"I know Im sorry! but we have to get out of here! Where is Rick and the others?!"

"Already gone! We have to go now! They figured out the diversion!" Glenn said as the dead was going to surround them again. 

"Hold on G!" Hailey shouted before putting her foot down on the gas peddle hard as she put the stick on Drive. 

Glenn was screaming as Hailey rammed through several of the walkers before she was cleared to go. She couldn't help but laugh as she rolled the windows down going 180 on the road, soon enough Glenn couldn't help but laugh as well. 

"WOOO! WOAH!" They both yelled excitement and laughter filled inside the car.
