YOU (RICK GRIMES)

PART TWENTY FOUR

"This is a bad idea," Daryl said shaking his head. 

"It's a good idea, okay, if you just hear me out. If we go out there in a group, we're slow, drawing attention. If I'm alone, I can move fast," Glenn said as Hailey shook her own head in denial. 

"I'm going with you G, Your not doing this alone,"

"Hailey-"

"Don't even try to stop me, your not going alone," She hissed at him as he rolled his eyes before nodding. 

Glenn draws a map of the street on the ground and marks the tank and the bag of guns along with Hailey's axe.

" Look. That's the tank, five blocks from where we are now. That's the bag of guns and Hailey's axe. Here's the alley I dragged you both into when we reunited. That's where Hailey and I will go," Glenn explains as Rick took a deep breath. 

"Will you keep her safe?" Rick asked as Glenn nodded his head. 

"With my life, I'd die for her," he responded looking at him straight in the eyes as Rick nodded his head in reassurance. 

"You got us elsewhere?" Daryl asked wondering where he plays the part.

"Yeah actually, you'll wait here in this alley while Hailey and I grab the stuff, be on the lookout for walkers and what not,"

"Me and T-Dog?" Rick asked placing his hands on his hips. 

Glenn nods as he points down the street. 

"You and T-Dog, right. You'll be in this alley here," he explains as Rick nods his head. 

"Were two blocks away from you guys, why is that?"

"We may not be able to come back the same way. Walkers might cut us off. If that happens, we won't go back to Daryl. Hailey and I will go forward instead, all the way around to that alley where you guys are. Whichever direction we go, we got you in both places to cover us. Afterwards, we'll all meet back here," 

"Hey, kid, what'd you do before all this?" Daryl couldn't help but ask as Hailey giggled before wrapping her arms around Glenn who was taken by surprise at the gesture. 

"Let's just say, Glenn was my pizza boy," 

"You delivered Pizza?" Daryl asked with a raised eyebrow. 

Glenn used his free hand to rub the back of his head with a smile and a laugh. 

"Yeah that was me Glenn the pizza guy, although one day I had a special delivery and its how Hails and I met,"

Glenn, Hailey and Daryl crawl down the ladder however before anything could happen a hand grabbed onto Hailey's. Glenn and Daryl were waiting on her as Hailey looked to see it was Rick who grabbed her. 

"Rick?" Hailey questioned confused why he stopped her. 

"Please be safe," He said before quickly pulling her into him causing her to yelp as he placed his lips on hers. 

And Hailey couldn't help but kiss him back before he pulled away. 

"Please come back," He begged searching her eyes as she nodded. 

"Always," She smiles before he lets go of her and they began to run down the alley while Rick and T-Dog ran down the other alley way. 

"You got some balls for a Chinaman," Daryl commented loading up his crossbow. 

Hailey heavily sighed. 

"He's actually Korean," 

"You can tell the difference?"
