Clay Blaise Milfort

Dad told me to go to school to check my class schedule. I'm back from the states and decided to finish college here. I just arrived the other day so I have to manage my time because I still have a lot of things to do. I am already a week late but I know the first week of school is mostly just introductions.

I'm on my way to the registrar's office and a lot of students noticed me. Of course, everyone knows Clay, the daughter of the school's president.

Milfort University was founded by my grandparents and was passed down to my father. Aside from it, he inherited different businesses as well.

My parents are divorced but remained good friends. Mom is living in the US for quite some time now and I just visit her from time to time but the last visit lasted for two years.

Before I reached the registrar's office I passed by the cafeteria and decided to buy some snacks but to my surprise — I saw her again.

I wasn't prepared to face her again. The guilt is all there eating me up. I need to talk to her but how?

She's not even bothered by all the noises in the cafeteria and just continues eating. On the other hand, Jake saw me and rolled his eyes.

I was about to go to the counter when Ava and her friends get in the way and started a conversation asking about why I left, why I came back, am I staying for good, and a lot more. As they kept on talking, I looked back to where she and her friends were seated but to my dismay, they had already left.

"Good day, Mrs. Torres" I greeted the lady in front of the office.

"Good day to you too, Ms. Clay"

"Just call me Clay po Mrs. Torres" I replied.

"I'm here to ask about my class schedules po," I continued.

A few moments later, she handed me a paper with my schedules on it. I bid my goodbye and thank her as well.

I then walked towards my dad's office and as I opened the door, there she was again, sitting stock-still when she saw me.

Seems like dad is talking to her about something. And oh my, oh my, is destiny playing its tricks again?

"Clay! Anak, good thing you are here. Please take a seat."

We are sitting on the guest chairs in front of my dad's desk. Both bodies are facing each other but our eyes are set on my dad's side. We are just both quiet while listening to my dad.

"Clay, I asked Sabrina here to guide you in your classes. Since you just came back from the states you will find a lot of differences in our learning system."

I mentally groaned at what he said. I'm too stunned.

"Dad, I think I can manage naman. You are underestimating me" I said with a whining voice.

"I know Clay, but it will be a lot easier if Sabrina will assist you, right Sabrina?"

"Y-Yes sir" she answered awkwardly.

"Oh well, it's settled then," Dad said excitedly.

Dad got a call so he thanked Sabrina and bid her goodbye.

"I'll see you at home sweetie," he told me before taking the call.

Scratch what I said earlier about destiny, I guess it's my dad who's playing tricks on me.
