I'm at my friend's bar just chilling with some of my crew. We just arrived from the US because my company was chosen by one of the biggest alcohol companies in the Philippines. We will have a meeting tomorrow to discuss the productions. It is for a calendar and I believe they will choose a famous model to be their calendar girl.
"Boss, kilala mo na ba kung sino yung calendar girl?" one of my crew asked.
"They haven't told me yet but I believe she will be at the meeting tomorrow"
As the night progresses the bar is also getting packed.
"Let's finish this bottle and go home. It's late and we have to be early tomorrow." I said to my team
As we were about to leave I saw a familiar face sitting alone at the bar. She is wearing a red silk mini dress with her left hand on her chin while the other holding a lowball glass.
My heart started beating fast as I made my way towards her.
I slowly sat beside her and I almost lost it. But of course, I controlled myself not to do something stupid.
After a shot of tequila, I gathered all my courage to greet her.
She is really drunk but she keeps on asking the bartender for more.
Shit! She asked me if we know each other. I panicked but I quickly responded.
She may not recognize me because of my hair or maybe she is really just drunk.
The next thing she said broke my heart into a million pieces.
"Yeah! Someone from my past that I'm still trying to forget."
I saw her expression quickly transition from gaiety to sadness.
I know that I deserve to be forgotten.
I left her. I hurt her. I broke her. I ruined the love of my life.
I'm in my deep thoughts when a tall guy in his early 40s arrived. He is wearing a black shirt, black slacks, and black shoes. He approached the girl beside me.
From what their conversation is, I believe he is her bodyguard.
He asked her to go home but she refused. She even asked me for a little help but I want her to go home too. She is really drunk now.
When she stood up she fell on me and threw up on my shirt.
I held her tight for her not to fall on the ground.
"Naku ma'am pasensya na po. Hindi po namin sinasadya. Sorry po" her bodyguard said
"It's okay sir. Kilala ko naman po sya. Wala pong problema. Tulungan ko na po kayong dalhin sya sa sasakyan niyo"
"Okay po ma'am"
I held her waist while her left hand clung to my shoulder and the other hand to her bodyguard.
"Is it okay if I come with you, sir? I just want to make sure she is safe and perhaps clean myself a little. Is that okay?"
"Sige po ma'am at Kuya Raul na lang po ang itawag niyo sa akin."
We are at the back, her head on my lap as Kuya Raul drives us home.
I stared at her.
She still looked so beautiful but she lost some weight and dark circles under the eye are visible.
