~~Time skip to winter break~~

"So y/n are you gonna stay at hogwarts?" Pansy asked me

"Yeah" I said

"Why? You live with the Malfoys- oh no I get it I'm staying too...is Draco staying too? I know Crabbe and Goyle are not staying so just asked."

"No he's going" I said

"Oh cool, so it'll just be us for an entire 2 and half weeks!" She said

"Cool" I said

Pansy POV

We had just both signed up for staying at hogwarts and then we went back to our dorm and I wanted to talk but y/n just sorta sat there on her bed almost in... despair...

"What's wrong y/n?"

"I've never liked Christmas..."

"Why? You get to open presents and be with the people you love and best of all you can play in the snow. You know I'm glad we agreed to give each other our birthday gifts on Christmas..."

"Me too you gave me no time to prepare!" She said then chuckle a bit after

*the next day*

"PANSY! PANSY! PANSY! IT SNOWED!! COME ON LETS GO OUTSIDE- oh sorry for yelling..."

"No it's okay I'll get dressed and we can go outside" I said

I was almost dressed when I heard

"PANSY WHERE IS MY SCARF?!" y/n asked

"I DON'T- OH WAIT ITS RIGHT HERE HANG ON ILL GIVE IT TO YOU IN A SECOND!" I said putting my gloves and toque on

I gave y/n her scarf and we went outside and found a good spot and walked around for a bit just admiring the snow and the frost, outside is the most beautiful during winter

"Pansy let's make snow angels!!" y/n suggested

"Okay" I said as I started to make my snow angle next to y/n's

We got up and admired our snow angels then we went back to our dorm for some hot chocolate.

"Mmmmm this is good" I said

"I agree the hot chocolate is very good" she said while taking a sip

"Not even just the hot chocolate just the outside and spending time with you and Christmas just around the corner I'm so excited to see your face when you see what I got you. But I'm sure you'll get loads of presents from the Malfoys so yah mine won't be a big thing..." I said

"Can I tell you something?"

"Yah of course y/n" I said putting down my drink

"The truth is the Malfoys don't really like me other then Draco but his parents just saw me as another child to teach and another mouth to feed and another thing that needs attention, the only reason we have this dorm to ourselves is because they didn't want me socializing with the other kids, they think I'm a menace, I never get gifts I never got as much pocket money as Draco not not nearly enough attention. They never really loved me you're honestly the very first person to love me in a long time. That's the real reason I'm staying at hogwarts for the break" She said while tearing up

"I'm so sorry y/n here do you just wanna stay here for the rest of the day? We can just talk and listen to music and I will make sure you feel loved your entire life that is if it's by me or Draco or some random person" I said

"Yes I do and thank you" she said hugging me

I hugged her back of course but this hug it felt different, for instance I blushed when she did this but I just rubbed it off. Then we went to talk about how y/n loved quidditch and wanted to be a professional seeker one day.

We stayed in our dorm for hours we didn't even come down for dinner we just laughed all night and ended up making a fort and sleeping in it together it was an evening full of emotions. Mostly good ones but the bad ones still lingered of course but we just played games and listened to music and danced. We had our first sleepover even though be basically live with each other.

I woke up the next day next to y/n I got up and looked outside and realized it was still sunrise so I just sat there and watched the sunrise for the next hour.

"Pansy?"

"Yes?"

"Oh there you are I didn't know where you where so I got a little worried"

"Oh that's fine-Oh tomorrow's Christmas!" I said

"Yah I'm kinda of looking towards it"

"Well I've got to go and wrap gifts so I'll see you around"I said

"Yup me too and see you later"

I went to the corner of the common room where I hid my gifts and started to wrap them I got three for y/n and one for each of the boys once I wrapped those ones I got to wrapping y/n's birthday gift I got her a replica of the golden snitch, it can fly and all but doesn't go psycho and fly everywhere. I can't wait to see her reaction.

y/n POV

I was done wrapping all my Christmas gifts and just needed to wrap Pansy's birthday gift. I got her two rings that were Slytherin style but would let us know if the other one was in danger. So there useful gifts and stylish.

Once I was done we played in our fort and put our gifts under the tree, and we sent the gifts for our family's and our friends out by owl so they would arrive by morning. We ate dinner then got changed into our pj's and talked for hours

"So why aren't you going home for the holidays, other then being here with me?" I asked Pansy

"Oh well things have never been good at home especially at Christmas my parents always fight and never agree on anything so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone: one I get to avoid all that at home, Two I get to stay here with you." She said

I felt sorry for her so instead of talking I just hugged her and she hugged back. Then we went back to talking and eventually fell asleep.
