While waiting for Haru to come back, the rest of us were watching the other races.
"Oh, there you are! Sorry about being late." A familiar voice said.
We turned around and saw Coach Sasabe there.
"Coach Sasabe..." Makoto said quietly.
"Where were you?! You're late, Goro-chan!" Nagisa lectured.
"Thank you for your help the other day. And I appreciate you taking time from work to come support us." Ms. Ama thanked.
"Oh, it's no big deal." Sasabe continued to stare at Ms. Ama.
"I really think we've met before."
"No, I don't think..."
"Jeez, did you just come here to hit on girls!" Nagisa yelled.
"I wasn't hitting on her!"
"Haruka-senpai and Airi-senpai already swam their freestyle heat." Rei informed Sasabe.
"Darn, I missed the prelims. But i can still watch the finals."
"He won't be in the finals."
"Huh?"
"Haru...didn't pass the prelims." Makoto explained again.
"He lost?! What about you Airi?" He turned to me.
"I passed it with ease, but...Haru, he might've taken it hard. He hasn't come back yet." I said worryingly.
There was nothing else to say, so we all sat in silence, watching the races.
In one of the races, Samezuka's captain Mikoshiba set a new tournament record.
"Wow, that's impressive." Sasabe praised.
"Isn't Mikoshiba..."
"Oh, it's Samezuka's captain! I thought he was just really enthusiastic, but I guess he's actually a good swimmer. Righr, Gou-chan?" He turned to her.
"Y-yeah..."
I saw Rei look at his watch and turned to look back.
"What's wrong Rei?" I asked him.
"Haruka-senpai isn't back yet."
"Oh, you're right."
"He's probably taking a shower." Nagisa answered.
"He's taking a long time though. I'll go check on him." Rei stood up and started walking away.
"Rei, wait up!"
"I'll come along too." I walked with Rei and Makoto.
"Hold on, Mako-chan! Airi-chan! Rei-chan!"
"Wait, Rei!" Makoto grabbed his arm, preventing Rei from going any further.
"Why are you stopping me?"
"Well, it's because..."
"He probably needs to be alone right now." I finished Makoto's sentence.
"Calm down, Rei-chan."
I heard footsteps behind us, so I turned around. A smile formed on my lips as I saw who the person was.
"Aren't you worried about Haruka-senpai?"
"Rin!" I yelled, gaining attention from the others.
Rin looked up at us. "You guys."
He stared at us for a second. "Right, you're all swimming in the tournament."
"Hey, Rin-chan. Have you seen Haru-chan?"
