A few days later, Dainsleif has been helping me with my day-to-day things. Adelinde has begun insisting I use actual crutches than relying on Dainsleif all the time. I agreed with her, I was beginning to think that Dainsleif was helping me out too much. I didn't want to always be calling on him for every little thing. Even so, I know he would say "he doesn't mind." But, I think it is for the best that I use actual crutches. Elzer found some that we've had stored for years. They were made out of stained oak wood. With cushions for comfort and rubber on the bottom so that they have a less likely chance of slipping. My father always bought the fancy things. However, I don't see much of a reason to get certain items a step above the regular. I only needed one since I wouldn't be able to straighten out my injured arm. Although my injuries have gotten a lot better over the past few days. I still need to use caution. Lest I reopen a wound again and Dainsleif would not be happy about it. He worries too much. Since I have a moment to myself now, I decided to think of ways I could repay Dainsleif. Giving him a room was the first thing I did. In which he declined it, but even so, I am still going to reserve that room for him. I want him to have somewhere to stay if he needs it. These rooms aren't fulfilling their purpose without anyone in them. Another thing I thought up so far was to invite him to eat dinner with me tonight. Knowing him so far, it seems like he's the one to disappear during these kinds of things. He probably feels like he's not supposed to be included. I can sympathize with him there. Even though I've had my fair share of invites to dinners from other noble families, to random girls, and strangers on the streets. It isn't always the most comfortable situation. I don't want him to feel inclined to say otherwise. I am hopeful he will accept my invite either way. Just then I heard a knock on the door that broke me out of my thoughts.

"Come in." I turned around and Dainsleif was the one to walk in.

"Diluc." He said,

"You're back. Were you successful?" I asked,

"Yes, I got all the things you asked for. Although it was troublesome at times, it wasn't all that bad to converse with the shopkeepers." He said,

"That's wonderful to hear. I would've sent a worker or maid, but they all happened to be busy. It's not something that happens often."

"It's alright. I don't mind." He said,

"Would you like to sit with me for a bit?" I asked, he nodded. I walked over to the couch that was by the window and slowly sat down, patting the spot next to me. He walked over to the couch and sat down.

"Dainsleif?" I questioned,

"Yes?" He replied,

"Would you like to join me for dinner tonight?"

"Of course, I would like that very much." He replied, I let out a small chuckle and then closed my eyes. "So, is this a recreation room of sorts?" He asked, seeing as he's never been in here before. It makes sense that he's curious,

"Yes. Sometimes I'll come here to think about things or play a game to get my mind off things. It's the quietest room in the Dawn Winery, so it's quite peaceful." I paused for a second, "When me and my brother were younger we used to come in here a lot. But something happened between us years ago and now we don't see each other as much anymore. So, I come here by myself most of the time now. Like I said, it's quite nice."

"It must be nice. Being able to come back to such a wonderful quiet place is a good thing to have. I've never had a quiet place to come to. But at the same time, being out in nature constantly has its perks. For the most part, it's quiet and peaceful. But having somewhere you always know you can come back to must be gratifying."
