The same as how there is an annual back-to-school day for kids, there's also a back-to-school night for parents.

And that was exactly where Taehyun was heading to, three weeks after Juhyeok's first day of school in mid September, and a week since his K-Drama-like encounter with Soobin.

Taehyun entered the classroom, and swallowed thickly when he saw just how many parents were gathered around.

Most of them were both mother and father, but to Taehyun's relief (somewhat), there were also a lot of single parents.

Single in the sense they came alone.

You can do this, don't be a coward.

Taehyun made his way towards a seat in the second row. It had a nametag for him, drawn and colored by what seemed like a first grader.

A small chuckle escaped him.

Juhyeok must have drawn this. 

He sat down in the chair, and folded his hands together, waiting patiently for the teacher to arrive to the meeting.

Until he heard someone clear their throat next to him.

"Umm, excuse me?"

Taehyun turned around to see a woman in her early thirties, with pink dyed hair framing her small and pointed face.

"Yes?"

"Are you perhaps Kang Juhyeok's father?"

"Uhh yes. I am."

A smile crossed her face.

"It's nice to meet you! I'm Byun Taeyeon, Yerim's mother," Taeyeon introduced herself, holding her hand out.

Taehyun shook it.

"Pleased to meet you too; Juhyeok has talked a lot about you ma'am."

"Oh why thank you. Oh, Bacon, come say hi!"

She tapped the man next to her, whom Taehyun assumed was her husband, on the shoulder, gaining his attention.

"What is it, hun?"

"Come meet Juhyeok's father!"

"Oh."

Taeyeon's husband held his hand out, which Taehyun shook as well.

"I'm Byun Baekhyun, nice to meet you," he greeted with a friendly smile.

"Kang Taehyun, the honor is mine."

"Yerim talks a lot about Juhyeok at home as well, saying he is very kind to her and treats her so well," Taeyeon explained.

"Really?"

Baekhyun nodded.

"Indeed. Juhyeok has also been very supportive of her so far."

"She's often mentioned how grateful she is that he defended her from that bully a few weeks ago, even though he landed in detention."

Taeyeon averted her eyes to Taehyun.

"Your son is a good child; you raised him well."

Taehyun didn't know what to say.

"Uhm... thank you ma'am."

Baekhyun inhaled.
