"On the count of three, okay?"

The little boy nodded.

"Okay."

"Alright. One, two, three!!"

Taehyun and Juhyeok slammed the lid of the fully packed suitcase down, and held it as the grown male closed the zipper.

"We did it!"

"Yay!"

And they shared a quick yet cheery high five.

Three, no, four months have passed.

In that time, so much has happened and changed, but for once in their chaotic lives, it was all for the better.

Not only did Juhyeok and Yerim start therapy with a child psychologist (who, to his sheer surprise, was Han Naerin, one of Taehyun's past blind dates), they also joined a program for kids coping with trauma. Kai found it in a newspaper stand next to Giddy Paradise, and he thought it would be a great idea for the kids.

And it was.

Both Juhyeok and Yerim made new friends there, who went to different schools and some who were a little older too.

Juhyeok befriended a seven-year-old boy named Minseok, who shared something in common with him: he doesn't have a dad. His father passed away in a war, when he was really young.

However, he does have a few fond yet blurry memories of him, and he often talked to Juhyeok about them, knowing he'll understand.

It made the young boy realize that he wasn't all too different: many other kids his age are in the position he once was.

Yerim and Juhyeok grew even closer while they were on that program, but that didn't mean they forgot about Jinsong. In fact, Jinsong had taken an interest in
sculpting, and secured a spot in the art school enough, making it an activity for all three of them.

And they were all excited for the last day of school, and for summer to come.

"Juju, we're gonna be late!" Soobin called from downstairs.

"Coming!"

Juhyeok glanced at his dad.

"I'm gonna run to the restroom."

"Then I'll go inform your papa."

Giggling, the little boy scurried to the bathroom, while Taehyun descended down the stairs to find his partner waiting in the kitchen.

That didn't mean he couldn't approach his beautiful darling, and wrap his arms around his waist, pecking his lips. Taehyun returned the kiss and put his arms around Soobin's neck.

"Hello beautiful," Soobin smiled.

"You saw me this morning already."

"I know. But seeing you again made me realize how beautiful you are again."

His cheeks flushed pink and Taehyun buried his head in his nape.

"I'm so glad the summer is here," he mumbled.

Soobin exhaled.

"Me too. I can't wait for our vacation."

On the courtesy of Juhyeok, the couple decided they'll spend the first two weeks of summer break in Daegu, at Taehyun's parents' house. They also promised their son they'll visit the area of Ilmol Nature Reserve, as Juhyeok begged them to go there so he could show them around.
