Part 12(end of final selection)

after we had made it to the final place after walking through the wisteria flowers again we saw that only six people had made it back including us. while walking i saw that asshat there and i accidentally tsked out loud making him turn to face me and he tched towards me. "you got something to say to me ugly" that certainly ticked him off ecause he stomped up to me and towered over me and just stared down at my face probably trying to scare me but after dealing with my 6 foot cousin picking me up all the time and intimidating  me this hoe was nothing. i leaned back slightly hearing tanjiro slowly reach for his sword. shit have to stop this before tanjiro does something stupid.  i reached up and tugged his collar lightly "what am i so pretty that you had to come up and check again" i smirked as i saw his face grow more irritated, but  tanjiro still slowly pulled out his sword. i pulled down genyas face closer to mine almost making us kiss but i quickly moved to the side and spoke into his ear. "if you take a step back and pretend i said something to make you startled and ignore me ill give you some of the demon meat i have left in my bag. 

He and i had a quick glance of understanding and he acted like how i needed and tanjiro backed off and we all turned to face the twins and listen to there explanation of what else is needed to happen.

"welcome back we are glad to see you are all safe" the twins spoke in unison again but kind of just blacked it all out watching the clouds pass until i heard yelling.  good god help me it's probably genya yelling about the swords.  in less than a minute everyone had a crow except for zenitsu and me. a hawk came to land on my shoulder and a sparrow landed on zenitsu freaking him out.  Genya walked up to the white haired twin and grabbed there hair and started talking "give me my sword otherwise ill start to get angry" in this moment i just couldnt help myself like he set himself up for this. 

i spoke without even thinking in a mocking tone "ooh oh no someones gonna get angry" i saw steam coming out of his ears "oop dont let him let the demons out" aw shit now you've done it. genya rushed towards me and grabbed me by my collar and lifted me up while my arms were still crossed. "what'd you say brat" i clenched my fist about to hit him until tanjiro did it for me. sucker punched him right in the side of his face making him drop me and i landed off balance but soon stabled out when tanjiro put his arm around my shoulders to stabilize me. 

i patted him on the shoulder proudly and hugged him while patting his head playfully "aww you did listen to all those martial arts lessons i taught you, dont think i didnt see you underhandedly sweep him while he was focused on me" i smiled happily and once i was done petting his hair despite his silent protests i finally let him go so we could all choose out our ore so i reached out my hand and picked the one that looked like the roughest one since i have a texture issue.

tanjiro and i had started our journey but after not having a normal meal for a week ontop of fighting to survive everyday we were limping on the way home. we were walking through crops of food, tanjiro leaning his arm around my shoulders since i was shorter and i was holding onto a cane on my side of my body that hurt the least while tanjiro did the same thing so we wouldnt collapse on our way home although we did trip a couple times because i got distracted watching the sun set over the hill. all was well until tanjiro slowly stopped walking and spoke out loud probably on accident "im so sorry nezuko in not even a step in to finding you a cure like i promised" tears slowly started to come out of tanjiro's eyes as he collapsed on the floor taking me down with him. his arm was smushed over my back and he was laying down facing me while i was trapped between his arm and the floor neither on of us having the stregnth to get up. 

we sat like that for a good 10 minutes and then continued our trek back home. i felt my heart skip a beat as i placed my hand to my chest "huh thats weird" tanjiro faced me confued "whats weird?".  "my heart started speeding up when i thought of us going back....home..." i smiled excitedly and hugged tanjiro getting a new surge of energy. "home! we have a home to go back to! someone waiting for us to come back! ohh its been so long since ive had that i forgot the feeling of having a father waiting for me!" i pulled tanjiro's arm as he smiled at me glad that i was so happy. he hugged me back "yeah i know what you mean! lets go back to see sensei and lets go back home together!" we both started to run back home steadily. where i was thinking of us going home as if we were siblings and tanjiro....he was thinking of it as if you two were husband and wife going back home to see your kids.
