S2 chapter 3

Vomit flew across the train while tanjiro patted my back. We had started to walk back to our original cart but all of a sudden enmu's body started to mutate "awww, you should have done that! YOU ARE RUINING IT." Tanjiro brandished his sword as the flesh that once filled the clothes were empty and the top of the cart rumbled as if it was open flesh, and finally everything clicked. "Tanjiro HES THE CART THERE GOING TO BE EATEN" enmu cackled harshly "to smart to be a human....it's gonna change soon anyways" I stabbed my hatchet down into the floor narrowly missing his flesh. "Kina lets go get the others NOW"

Pulling my weapon out of the cart we bolted back to everyone but Inosuke was the only one awake. He explained everything to Inosuke who was already rearing to go and immediately bolted through the door to take care of the carts tanjiro gave him. "You and nezuko will take care of the carts closer to the front, Inosuke will wake up soon and join nezuko trust me!" They nodded and began to take over there spots as I stayed behind to protect and wake up rengoku.

I tried everything, slapped him, held his breath, chocked him I even shook him against the seat making him hit his head multiple times but nothing was working fast enough as parts of enmus body had reached the cart and I began to fight. "First form, Koku!" I slashed the thick pieces of flesh coming at me and because of the form everything because clearer to see, hear and feel.  Halfway through the fight emits used his thunder breathing and headed further up the carts( asleep) giving me less people I had to protect thankfully. These damn things are coming from everywhere! Exhaustion was coming up quick and my form was slipping till and hand grabbed my shoulder and turned me around. "Good job Kina, but let me take care of the rest" he threw me on his back and I held on for dear life as he used one of his forms, flipping around and cutting through carts like it was butter and I could tell envy was hurt from all the spasms in the cart when we finally reached tanjiro.

"Young Kamado!" Kyojuro set me down gently as I tried to shake off the spinning and helped tanjiro off the floor. "I was quite through with my blade so it should take the demon some time to regenerate but there's still no time to waste" we both nodded our head and got ready for our orders. "This trains got eight cars, I'll protect the rear five and the other three will be yours. The yellow boy will be with your sister and you two along with the boar hatter one will search for the demons head. Do not think that it doesn't have one, remember it's still a demon" he smiled and ran off. We took off in the opposite direction calling out for Inosuke till we heard his voice up on the top cart. "Shut up! I got my orders from bug eyed....but even though he was so cool THAT ITS STARTING TO PISS ME OFF" "Inosuke still keep and eye out for the three cars up ahead" "I know! Thanks to my awesome seventh form I've already found what we're looking for" I pulled open the door that connected to the outside "is his weak spot up near the coal?!" Inosuke agreed and continued running for it as we both started to pull ourselves back on the top of the train.

He didn't wait for us to get there and started slashing up the cart and came inside as large hands started grabbing at him making us quicken the pace. Tanjiro used his sixth form slashing at the demon giving us both enough space to land. "Are you alright Inosuke!" Tanjiro shouted which made him irritated "I'm fine! Its not like you came to my rescue or anything" we took a moment to let tanjiro sniff out the neck and once he did Inosuke jumped up and slashed the metal giving us a clear view of the bone. "Kina you have to stab it now!".

I pulled my arms back and slammed both my dagger and hatchet into the bone " seventh form BANE" I cut the bone from either side trying to put a real dent in it but the hands shot up the quick making all of us pull away and drop down into the coal mine. "If we meet anyone new after this either blindfold me or knock me out" they both nodded as we tried to figure up a new plan to get his neck sliced off. "Inosuke you open up his flesh again with your form and me and Kina with cut it off" for once Inosuke didn't argue back and actually agreed that it was a smart idea.

The plan set into motion and we all jumped up but then a large mass filled with eyeshadow trapped all of us in its demon art. "Inosuke CUT YOUR NEVK TO WAKE UP" we all nodded off into sleep but snapped awake till finally after the second time I got trapped I shut my eyes and used void to set a sense of my surroundings and landed perfectly waiting for Inosuke to open up the neck. I turned back to tanjiro expecting everything to be alright but instead he had his blade right to his throat. My eyes snapped open as I sprinted to him with both me and Inosuke dragging his hand down "it's not a dream don't fall for his trickery"

I nodded along and the fight with the mutant continued till the conductor from earlier sprinted towards Inosuke "I won't let you take away my chance to dream!" tanjiro was too far and Inosuke couldn't dodge fast enough so I ran forward blocking them as the knife sunk into my lower stomach. I knocked him out harshly as tanjiro grabbed the man. "He just stabbed her leave the bastard here!" I could tell he was contemplating on it but I grabbed his shoulder and shook my head. "....Fine."

I smiled but the moment was cut as hands started to come from all above forcing us all to use multiple forms at once. "We need to sync our breathing so we can attack as one!" Inosuke and I agreed silently as we jumped back out of the area and took a while to connect but soon enough we were back out running around on different parts of enmu and eventually we spun down cutting his body in a vertical arc and finally reached the spine with Inosuke slashing the flesh  giving us a clear cut. We descended down on enmu like angels with the intent to kill. " Kagura Kami!, Bane!" We sliced his neck in half and his screams of agony was ringing in our ears.

I'm guessing this was his last act at fighting back since the train was starting to derail and tip further. The pain was starting to numb if I focused on them. "Are you guys alright!" Inosuke was worried I could hear it in his voice "are we okay, you're the one bleeding" I shook my head "I'm fine but we need to protect the passengers-" the train had fully tipped over sending me over the edge of train and down a hill at an alarming rate "YOU GUYS BETTER NOT DIE" I crashed multiple times on the floor getting knicks and bruises along my sides till I came to a stop, hitting my back on a thick tree. "Aurghh....fuck that hurts so fucking-BAD!" I tried lifting myself up but it just wouldn't work. I heard my name being called by Inosuke but I couldn't raise my voice to even call out for help I just laid there as he reached me pulling my body into his lap.

"Did you see how I jumped off that demon train- wait no how's your stomach" I opened my eyes slightly "I can't move I need you to check on that conductor and the others." He froze for a second but immediately reverted back to his normal self. "HE CAN DIE" I glared at him as he finally shut up and got the message. "His leg is already shattered let him rot!" Inosuke was vocal about his dislike to the whole situation but I could tell tanjiro was agreeing with him since he hadn't moved and inch from my side to help him. "Alright I can't do all of this sentimental shit SAVE THE MAN RIGHT NOW WE HAVE A JOB TO DO NO MATTER WHAT" Inosuke laid my head down gently opposite to his yelling. "FINE BUT INLY BECAUSE YOUR MY MATE"

"I GOT STABBED FOR YOU LISTEN TO ME GODAMNIT". They both went over and started to free the man as I was finally left alone to my thoughts.

How am I going to save him if my body is all banged up like this? I failed him and we haven't even gotten to Akaza yet. Tears flowed out of my eyes as the man who caused it is smiling down at me worriedly. "You mastered total concentration constant I'm proud" it was so hard to not cry in front of him while knowing the future. "Can you hug me-" it got silent as he smiled harder and lifted me up as softly as possible and gave me a hug letting me hear his heart beat. "I'm not dead Kina I'm right here" I nodded off quickly from both exhaustion and the warmth. "Thank you kyojuro for living...that you...so...much" and with that I knocked out In his arms.
