Hope you enjoy :)Not Stop 'Til You're Fixed
~~~~~~~~Licorice was in his room not doing much. Just entertaining some of his licorice servants. It was quite late at night and Licorice was still up, his sleep schedule is pretty fucked to begin with.
As he humored some of the licorice servants into thinking they were tall by letting them ride Licorice's shoulders he heard fast footsteps approaching his door. Before he knew it his door swung open and in came a cookie.
That cookie was Lobster.
"Oh I wasn't expecting you to be back so so-" Licorice was cut off by Lobster hugging Licorice.
Lobster silently cried onto Licorice as he held him. Licorice didn't say anything and quickly wrapped his arms around Lobster.
"Lobster what happened?" Licorice asked softly with worry.
"M-My arm," Lobster managed to choke out.
Licorice looked at where Lobster's crystal claw should be and saw nothing was there.
"Oh..." Licorice gently touched the spot where Lobster's claw should be.
Lobster whimpered and held onto Licorice even more. The licorice servants jumped off Licorice and hugged Lobster's legs. Lobster's anglerfish quickly entered the room with a cloth in its mouth.
"Licorice, we need you," the angler fish said.
"Yeah, I can tell," Licorice said, "Lobster let's get on the bed alright,"
Lobster nodded and allowed Licorice to guide him to the bed. Licorice got Lobster on the bed and closed his door. The anglerfish set down the cloth on the bed, in it showed the broken pieces of Lobster's claw. The licorice servants jumped on the bed and comforted Lobster.
"Did you think... you can fix it...?" Lobster asked in between sobs.
"I don't care how long it will take but I will find a way to put your arm back together," Licorice said.
Licorice picked up the cloth and gently brought it to his desk. He shoved random books he had on the table off and they hit the floor. He placed the crystal claw bits on the desk before returning his attention to Lobster.
"Ok sweetheart, does this hurt?" Licorice said pointing at the where Lobster's arm should be.
Lobster shook his head.
"Do you need anything? A drink? Snack? Emotional support?" Licorice asked while putting Lobster underneath his blankets.
"I guess some water," Lobster said quietly.
One of the licorice servants jumped off the bed and ran out the bedroom. It returned as quickly as it left with a few water bottles. It hopped back on the bed and unscrewed the cap before handing it to Lobster.
"Thank you," Lobster thanked quietly before taking a sip of the water.
The licorice servants laid on and by Lobster as a form of comfort. Licorice gave Lobster a hug.
"Get some rest sweetheart, I'll do everything in my power to fix your arm," Licorice said softly.
Lobster gently nodded and laid down. Licorice gave Lobster a kiss on the forehead and rubbed his head before taking a seat at his desk.
Lobster closed his eyes and was soon greeted by sleep. The licorice servants laid on Lobster and looked at Licorice, in case he wanted them to do something.
"Just, stay by his side alright, my order is to care for Lobster alright," Licorice said, knowing the licorice servants are waiting for orders.
The licorice servants looked away from Licorice and focused their attention to Lobster. He's sleeping at the moment so they just laid on him, yet staying alert in case he says something.
Licorice turned his attention to Lobster's broken arm bits on the desk. He carefully picked up the pieces and tried to find which pieces were connected to which.
He was up for many hours rearranging each piece until it was perfect. He sighed as he finally found where each piece belonged. Though he wasn't done. He won't stop until it gets fixed.
One of his licorice servants walked up to him and handed him a liquid solution that will help reconnect each piece. Licorice took the solution and patted the licorice servant.
Many many many hours have passed and Licorice was still at his desk by the time Lobster woke up. Lobster looked around and saw Licorice. He looked extremely tired and determined.
"Licorice?" Lobster yawned.
"Hm? Yeah?" Licorice jolted and faced Lobster.
"Were you up this entire time?" Lobster asked, noticing Licorice's droopy, puffy eyes and the dark circles under them.
"Yeah, I've pulled all nighters before," Licorice said, "need something?"
"I want you to sleep," Lobster said, a bit concerned.
"And I want to fix your arm, there we're even," Licorice chuckled.
"Licorice, please just get some rest," Lobster said sitting up.
"Hey, lay back down. You had an extremely rough day yesterday, you need the rest more than me," Licorice said getting up and making Lobster lay back down.
"Licorice you do realize I care about you just as much you care about me," Lobster said.
"I know, but I just can't stand to see you like this," Licorice said rubbing Lobster's forehead.
"Can you get some rest, once you are done? Please?" Lobster asked.
Licorice nodded, "I'll get some rest once I have finished reconnecting the pieces and making it look how it used to,"
"Now you better keep your word," Lobster said nudging Licorice's forehead.
"Is there anything you need?" Licorice chuckled.
"Just sore right here," Lobster said poking at his empty shoulder.
"Want me to put some medicine on it?" Licorice asked as a licorice servant appeared with some medicine.
"That would be nice," Lobster said shifting his body around so Licorice could put medicine on.
Licorice nodded and rubbed some medicine on Lobster's shoulder, "better?"
"Yeah," Lobster said.
"K, I'll go back to work then," Licorice said returning to his desk.
Lobster hummed and watched Licorice.
Licorice returned to tediously putting each piece back together. He was mostly done just had some many more pieces to go. Once Licorice finished he held the crystal claw arm up and examined it. He smiled as he was proud of his work. He sat the claw arm down and got in bed next to Lobster.
"We'll reattach it later," Licorice yawned.
"Thank you," Lobster said.
"No... problem..." Licorice yawned as he could feel himself being consumed by sleep.
"You deserve this rest, you did good," Lobster whispered to Licorice.
Licorice hummed as he held onto Lobster. He fell asleep shortly after. Lobster ended up falling asleep again.
Despite Lobster losing his arm and Licorice being extremely stressed about that, they both still found comfort with just being near eachother.
