Chapter 68: Fading away.

Author's POV

"Will it be okay?" Aly asked for the nth time as she watched Blue getting ready to leave.

It was around evening of the day and Aiden was gonna reach soon since he had ordered to come back in his private jet immediately.

They didn't really tell him much, just asked him to come home and he too didn't ask much. He himself just wanted to come home.

"Yes Al, I will get him myself. I will just prepare him a bit okay? So that you guys can then talk. Please stop overthinking, everything will be fine." Blue said turning to hold her face in his hands, he gently caressed her soft pale cheeks, kissing them right after.

She was slightly warm, he frowned at that and put a hand over her forehead gasping when he realised that she was actually burning.

"You have a fever Al." He said immediately making her sit down on the bed and walking to get her medicine and the thermometer.

He came back and made her lie down while she just stared at him with a small smile on her face, feeling giddy again,
"It's not even that much." She said when he checked her temperature.

'37.4 degree C.' It showed.

"Shut up!" He said softly as he covered her body with the blanket keeping her covered after giving her the medicine.

"How am I supposed to leave you like this?" Blue talked to himself but looked at Aly when he felt her hold his hand.

"I took the medicine, I'll be fine, just go okay? I'll sleep until you guys return." Aly told him as she kissed his hand looking at him with soft hazel eyes.

He kneeled down in front of her and kissed her forehead,
"You'll take care of yourself right?" He asked her and she quickly nodded.

"I promise." She said making him sigh but he did stand up. The word promise made him feel bitter but he controlled himself.

"Take Mike with you, Andrew is on leave today." Aly suddenly said making Blue turn to look at her with furrowed eyebrows.

"What?" He asked her, and she chuckled nervously when she realised what she just spilled. Blue doesn't know he has someone following him all the time as well.

"Nothing, go just take Mike with you." Aly said and Blue pouted but nodded. He knows it can be dangerous because of their rivals so he didn't say anything and just left.

"I love you Al." He yelled just standing at the door.

He waited for her reply,
"Must have fallen asleep." He said and walked out from the door to get his boyfriend.

Aly groaned when the sound of the front door opening disturbed her sleep. She looked at the clock and frowned when she realised that there was no way this was Aiden or Blue. Since they might take half an hour more or so.

She tried to listen but couldn't hear anything. All she heard was the front door opening and that's all. No sound came after that. She wasn't getting a good vibe. Since only Aiden and Blue and Mike knew the key to her apartment. And at this moment all of them are away.

She put a hand under the bed and pulled out her gun just in case. She swung her legs off the bed and slowly without making a sound walked to the door. She peaked her head and looked down the stairs but she didn't see anyone.

She frowned because she definitely heard someone entering her apartment. There's no way she was hearing things.

She squeezed her eyes shut as she felt the headache worsening because of her fever. She slowly step by step without a noise climbed down the stairs, both her hands holding her gun tightly aimed at nothing in particular.
