Author's POV
A small whimper entered his ears and his eyes shot open. Turning towards his boyfriend, Aiden saw Blue sleeping peacefully and smiled before turning his attention to his girlfriend who was the one whimpering.
He quickly turned towards her holding her small body in his arms, he sat up leaning against the headboard picking her up on his lap, he kissed her forehead continuously while his hand kept wiping her tears.
"It's okay, shh baby, come on you're okay." He whispered to her ears holding tightly to her shaking body.
"N-no."
"Please please d-don't."
"Stop." Her words came out slurred but so strong that it hit right at Aiden's chest.
He choked over his own breath as the realisation of what she was dreaming about settled inside him and hugged her tightly, his eyes moistening themselves and the tears started flowing down his cheeks immediately.
They say, time heals all wounds, but Aiden doesn't believe that, he believes it only buries them.
It never really heals, the bad memories just get covered up with the good and better ones. There is no way out of this, and Aiden had realised it.
He realises it every night that he hears her mumbling such heart breaking words.
He hugged her tightly gently rocking both of their bodies on the bed, she was the one who was stuck in her nightmare but he was awake, and yet he was stuck.
Stuck just like everytime he is in this situation.
"Please please." He kept whispering, he didn't know what he was begging for or who was he begging to.
He just wanted an out, to stop it all at once.
And just like every time, he got it.
He got it in the form of two warm hands cupping his face and gently wiping the tears off his face.
He opened his eyes only to be blessed with that face, face of an angel, the angel that entered their lives and changed it for the better.
Blue didn't say a word but just gave Aiden a small smile, it was a small innocent smile that brought Aiden out of his thoughts.
He stared at Blue who's one hand was continuously rubbing Aly's back and the other wiping away Aiden's tears away.
Blue kissed Aiden's cheek,
"You're okay.""It's gonna be fine."
"So strong, my king." Blue whispered and Aiden couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his mouth at that.
He doesn't know how Blue does it but everytime Blue calls him that, he started blushing as if he was actually just crowned the king. It's exhilarating.
Blue too giggled and kissed Aiden's other cheek,
"Everything's gonna be okay." He whispered and Aiden closed his eyes to let the perfect words settle in.Blue flicked Aiden's chin with two fingers,
"Right king?" He asked softly and Aiden opened his eyes before nodding and gently pressing his lips to Blue's for a quick peck.He gave Aiden an innocent proud look when Aiden's tears stopped. Blue then hugged them both even if his arms couldn't go across Aiden, he still hugged them as tightly as he could.
Aly who was in between them was now calm and sleeping soundlessly.
Aiden kissed the top of Blue's head and closed his eyes pressing his cheek there,
"Thank you little love." Aiden softly said and Blue shook his head.
