Chapter 73

Author's POV

"She's fine now Mr. Cullen please don't worry." The doctor started but he still had the face of worry that didn't go unnoticed by Aiden as well as Blue.

"She had a very deep cut in her upper leg which required 4 stitches. The wound on her forehead too had to be stitched since it was deep as well but it only required a single stitch. All the other small wounds on her body have been bandaged. The problem isn't about the outer wounds. It seems that she had taken an antibiotic which I assume was because of her high temperature and fever." The doctor paused again as Blue nodded.

"Yes she had slight fever so I had given her the medicine, did I do something wrong?" He asked the doctor, his voice low, scared and vulnerable.

"No young man, you didn't do anything wrong. The problem was with the drug that was injected in her body afterwards. It was flunitrazepam, it's a known drug that is also classified as a date rape drug." The doctor said and gulped seeing the deep breath Aiden took hearing his last line, his aura darkening.

"It seems that the drug didn't go well with the medicine and it induced a temporary coma." The doctor again paused as he stepped back when Aiden took a step forward.

"Explain. Temporary." Aiden said, his voice so thick that the doctor felt Aiden was already suffocating him without even putting a single finger over him. Blue silently listened, feeling somewhat guilty.

The word 'coma' being too heavy for both the boyfriends as they tried to keep themselves calm.

How did this happen?

What the fuck is wrong with everything?

"She's gonna wake up of course but it might take a few days Mr. Cullen. We can't say how long. But I can assure you it won't take longer than a week." The doctor said and immediately took another two steps back, his back pressed to the door of the O.T as Aiden hovered over his small body.

"She better wake up or else I don't know which day you might not." Aiden said looking dead into the man's eyes who was sweating rivers but still managed to nod.

"Did they...?" Blue suddenly asked, he looked at Aiden who turned to look at him with a scared face mirroring his own before turning to look at the doctor again.

"No Mr. Relish, there were no signs of.." The doctor stopped himself not daring say it in front of the boyfriends.

"I'll make her shift to the I.C.U and then you can meet her. Make sure to not put too many people in the same room." The doctor said before he literally ran away from there.

Blue came in front of Aiden who was again holding his shoulder and his eyes were squeezed shut, trying to control himself.

Aiden opened his eyes when he felt soft lips over his cheek, he saw Blue looking at him with soft moist eyes.

He finally took in Blue's state. Blue's eyes were blood red and completely swollen because of how much he had been crying. He looked really weak and it just made Aiden feel more worthless than he already was.

Aiden put an arm around Blue's shoulder and pulled him to his own chest hugging him tightly, he let Blue nuzzle his face in Aiden's chest and they both just stayed there completely exhausted.

Aiden picked his phone up still hugging Blue and told Mike to bring something to eat for Blue.

Aiden sat down on the chairs besides the O.T as there was still some time in shifting Aly to the I.C.U.

He pulled Blue to sit over his lap sideways and let Blue close his eyes for some rest. He kept running his hand in Blue's hair and the other over Blue's arm. He looked really weak and Aiden just wanted him to stay well.
