carina pov:
I knew maya had a long week at the station and needed some time to unwind. She had lots of calls and because she's captain she had all the paperwork to go with it.

I just got back from my shift at the hospital and knew she would be home in a little over an hour. I had stopped at the grocery store on the way home so I could make her favorite lasagna for dinner.

I decided to run maya a bath and get her to take a nap after, while I made dinner. She is a wonderful captain and because of how tough she is on the outside, but you wouldn't believe how much of a softie she is. She's never really let many people in because of her dad, but I'm glad that I'm the one she trusts to be there for her. I turned on the water and added a bath bomb and some bubble bath. I lit a few candles and started some of my favorite music on a speaker and set it on the counter. I got out some fresh towels and pj's for after the bath when I heard a door start to open. I heard maya set down her bag and take off her jacket.

"Carina? Where are you?" I heard her call before I walked out of the bathroom to give her a hug. She was standing by the kitchen table looking amazing in her captains uniform but she looked so tired. "Hey bambina, are you okay? I missed you" I asked before hugging her. "I guess" maya responded before reciprocating the hug.

"I ran a bath for you, do you want to get in?" I asked before leaning back into her arms and placing mine around her neck. "That sound amazing, carina. Thank you so much!" she responded before placing a soft kiss on my lips.

maya pov:
I love how much carina notices about me, and tries to help. She is able to tell when I'm sad, or tired, or there is something on my mind, and she knows when to push about something and when to give me space.

We walked into the bathroom hand in hand before she slid off her robe and walked over to me. She lifted my shirt over my head and I unbuttoned my jeans before sliding them off leaving me in my underwear. Carina slowly placed kisses on my exposed shoulder and down my arm. She stood behind me and unclipped my bra and slid it down my arms. I finished undressing by sliding my underwear off and walking over to the tub.

She flicked off the lights leaving a few candles burning throughout the bathroom and some soft Italian music from her favorite artist playing in the background. I didn't used to like Italian music, but the more carina has been around the more I have started to enjoy it. She walked up behind me and pulled my hair into a loose braid so it wouldn't get to wet in the bath.

She undressed herself and walked over to the tub before holding her hand out to help me in. I sat down and let her sit behind me because I wanted her to hold me. She pulled me close and I rested my head on her boobs. She was drawing aimlessly on my arms and whispering sweet nothings in my ear, while I sat there and enjoyed every minute of it.

After a bit I started to think about the week and it was just so much. I started to sniffle which turned into full sobs and I felt carina hold me closer and whisper "I've got you, tesoro" in my ear. "It's okay, let it out. You are safe with me". My heart melted because she always knew exactly what to say to make me feel better. I only cried for a bit, just wanting to be able to feel my emotions before they became too much for me, something I had been working on in therapy recently.

It had been about an hour and the water was starting to get cold so we decided to get out. "Bambina, do you want to take a nap while I make you some dinner?" carina asked before sanding up to get out of the bath. "Are you sure, I can help you?" I replied because I struggle so much to accept help. "Of course, amore. You need to rest" she replied.

Carina grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my shivering body and wrapped another around herself before grabbing my hand. "You look so beautiful, bella" she said and while I looked at her and smiled. We got dressed quickly and I brushed her hair and pulled it back into a messy bun. I heard "Go take a nap, bellina" from the stunning Italian beside me and not having much energy left, decided it would be a good idea.

carina pov:
Maya got in bed and asked for me to sing to her. I loved how much she enjoys me speaking in my native tongue and how soothing it is to her. Within a few minutes I was hearing soft snores coming from the blonde beside me and knew maya was asleep. I made my way into the kitchen to make the lasagna.

I was cleaning up the kitchen a bit over an hour later, when maya walked in because the aroma had woken her up. She walked over to me and clasped her hands around my waist from behind. She set her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes. "How was your nap, bambina?" I asked quietly. "It was wonderful, thank you for making me take one, I really needed it" she responded before kissing my exposed shoulder which gave me some butterflies. "Of course, bella" I was able to reply without stuttering my words from what I was feeling in my core.

I finished the dishes and started serving us some lasagna. Maya poured me a glass of my favorite wine and walked over to the kitchen table. I saw her eyes go wide at the piece I served her but decided to ignore it for now, even though she has had some trouble with food in the past. I pulled out her chair for her to sit before sitting down myself and taking a bite.

It had been about 30 minutes and maya hadn't finished her food yet. I took a sip of wine and said "Bella you need to eat, I know it's hard but that beautiful body of yours needs energy and nutrition". She looked up at me knowingly and I knew she was only thinking about how long of a run she would have to take tomorrow to burn this off. "Okay, 3 more bites?" I heard and replied "Of course bella, I'm so proud of you". It wasn't great but I was proud of her for trying, I just want to be able to show her how amazing she is no matter what she looks like. And I will spend every day doing that, if it's what she needs.

Once we finished dinner we made our way over to the couch and turned on the tv. I sat down and rested my elbow on the side of the sofa before maya came up and put her head on my stomach. We turned on Mamma Mia and maya started humming along to the words. I was playing with some of the hair that had fallen out of her bun when I heard a quiet "I love you so much carina" from the woman below me. "I love you even more, bellissima".

a/n: OMG have you guys seen dani's new haircut?!? bc i'm in love. Her in bangs is literally oml-. Also if you couldn't alr tell my love language is touch so that's why these basically all end in them cuddling lol. Also my spring break is next week so I might be able to write more!
