new york city pt.2

I woke up to sun shining through the blinds and danielle snoring softly next to me. I just watched her sleep for a bit before she started to wake up and I pressed a few kisses to her face. "Bongiorno bambina" I whispered. "Good morning my love" she replied in her raspy morning voice that I love. "I was thinking we order room service for breakfast and then go into the city after. "That sounds wonderful, I just want to stay her with you" she replied while wrapping her arms around my waist and resting her head on my boobs. "How about 10 more minutes and then we can order and then we can eat breakfast in bed?" I suggested. "As long as your right next to me" danielle smiled and closed her eyes.

We stayed in bed for a bit longer, danielle almost falling asleep, before I got up to call the front desk to order some food.

We got some pancakes to share and I got some fruit and danielle got an egg and toast. Once the food arrived we got back in bed and enjoyed to breakfast while watching some tv. "This is so nice, I love getting to travel with you" danielle announced after finishing her first pancake. "I love it too bella, it's nice to have a break from our lives and get to see parts of the world we never have before" I reply. "What do you want to do today?" she asked. "Maybe we can walk around and see some things before going to lunch?" I proposed. "That sounds amazing, we could even go see the statue of liberty" danielle added excitedly.

We finished breakfast and decided to get dressed, I wore some jeans and a turtleneck and stefania wore a pair of straight leg jeans and a white sweater. We both did some light makeup and I put my hair in a low ponytail before we grabbed our purses and coats and walked downstairs.

We decided to take the subway to the brooklyn bridge so we could walk over it and have lunch in Brooklyn (if this is wrong, just ignore it plz, idk much about nyc).

We took a few pictures along the bridge just enjoying the walk and the view and our time together. Once we got off the bridge we walked around a bit trying to find a place to eat.

We walked into the restaurant and took an elevator to the top floor cafe. We stepped out into a big room with floor to ceiling windows showing the beautiful city we were in. I took danielle's hand a walked us to a table for two by a window and sat down. "I'll go get us coffee, what would you like my love?" she asked as she started to stand up. "A cappuccino please" I responded. "okay, I will be back in a couple minutes" she replied leaning down to kiss my forehead.

I spent the next couple minutes responding to a few texts and emails before I started to wonder where danielle had gone. I look to the counter and my blood starts to boil. One of the baristas is leaned against the counter and flirting with her.

After a couple more minutes I decided to walk up to them. "Hi baby, are our drinks almost ready?" I ask danielle completely ignoring the woman behind the counter. "Yes I think so" she says. "Danielle shouldn't you introduce us?" the woman asked snarkily. "Umm sure, stefania this is sofia, one of my old friends from high school, and sofia this is my fiancé stefania" she said. At the mention of fiancé the woman hacked off a bit but still greeted me.

I responded a bit shortly but the woman was flirting with my soon-to-be wife. What was I supposed to do? "Your drinks are ready" another barista came up to us with two coffee cups. "Thank you so much. Have a good day sofia" danielle responded as we started to walk away. "We should get lunch sometime, I would love to catch up" sofia said, making me have to try really hard not to yell at her. "Umm, sure" danielle responded wearily.

Rationally I know danielle wouldn't cheat on me, especially on a trip we were on together but the italian in me likes to disregard the truth.

I walked back to our table with the coffees in hand and handed stefania hers. I could tell she was jealous but I was just trying to be nice to sofia, I know she was being flirty but we were really close in high school and I was just waiting for our coffees. "Baby you don't need to worry about sofia, she doesn't mean anything to me" I tried to reason with her. "Okay" was all she responded with so I decided to drop it until we made it back to the hotel.

Once we finished an awkward coffee date we started to head back to the hotel. The elevator doors opened and I moved to hold stef's hand and she pulled it away. I sighed hating the fact that she thought I would ever hurt her.

We made it back to our room silently before stef locked herself in the bathroom. She came out a couple minutes later, having taken a quick shower and put on some more comfortable clothes. "Baby will you talk to me now" I asked softly, hoping if she would give me a minute I could explain the situation.

"Mhmm" she responded while starting to pack some of her clothes into her suitcase. "You know that I would never cheat on you because you mean everything to me, you are my whole life" I began as she continued to pace around the room.

She started to tear up and I decided to walk over to her. "I'm fine, leave me alone" she said before trying to walk away. "My love come sit down with me for a moment please?" I asked trying to make sure she was listening to me.

"Okay fine" she said with a pout before sitting on one end of the couch. I walked over and sat infront of her. I held her head with my hands, forcing her to look at me. "Darling, I love you so much and I would never leave you for anyone, especially some old friend from high school I haven't talked to for 10 years" I stated. "I-I know that, rationally. I just- I don't know, i'm sorry" she said in between soft cries.

I used my thumb to wipe her cheeks before continuing. "I just need you to trust me when I say I love you, and I promise that there is no one else, anywhere in the world that I would want more than you, okay". "Okay" she said. "Now come here love" I said before pulling her into my chest.

I straddled danielle's lap as she tucked my head in her neck and rubbed my back. She whispered sweet nothings in my ear before I calmed down a bit more and we just laid with each other.

"Can we watch a movie before dinner?" I ask as I pull my head away from her body. "Of course" danielle replied helping me to stand and walk to the bed. We cuddled up just enjoying the moment as she turned on the tv and kissed the top of my head.
