sick

I caught the stomach bug from a park that I went to with my niece the other day. I threw up once yesterday and a couple more times last night but overall I feel gross but I don't have enough energy to do anything.

I also have been dating stefania for a couple months now which has been amazing, but we were supposed to go on a date today and there is no way I can go in the state i'm in so I decide to call stef and break the news.

d: Hi! I wanted to call ask if we could reschedule our date tonight? I'm not feeling good and I think I picked up a stomach bug the other day.

s: Oh bambina i'm so sorry about that. Don't worry about our date but I can come over and help and make you some food!

d: You don't need to worry about me, i'll be fine. I don't want you getting sick too.

s: Don't be silly, i'm going to the grocery store and i'll be at your house in less than an hour.

d: You really don't have to do that I promise i'll be fine.

s: Nope, you go back to bed and rest and I will be there soon!

d: Thank you

s: Of course bella, i'll see you soon!

I quickly got into my car and drove to the grocery store to get the makings for my mama's pastina recipe that she always used to make for me and my siblings when we were sick.

I got an onion, some carrots and celery, along with some chicken broth and pastina pasta. I also picked up some medicine incase danielle didn't have any and some chocolate becuase she always has a sweet tooth. I also grabbed some other snacks and some electrolyte drinks that would be easy on her stomach if she kept throwing up.

Once I checked out I made the 15 minute drive to her house and parked in her driveway. I grabbed the bags from the backseat and used her spare key to unlock the door. I was trying to be quiet just incase she was sleeping.

I set the bags down on her counter and went upstairs to check on danielle. She was walking out of the bathroom as I made it up the stairs. "How are you feeling bambina?" I ask putting the back of my hand to her forehead. "I feel nauseous and sweaty and gross and I can't sleep and I don't even know anymore" she says defeated. "Oh bella. Do you want to come downstairs for a bit why I make you some soup and then I can give you some medicine and liquids?" I ask. "Okay" she replies and we walk downstairs.

I walk to the couch with her and pull a few pillows off of the floor to move them to the couch so hopefully dani is a bit more comfortable. I also fill a cup with some water and put some electrolyte powder so she doesn't get too dehydrated.

I feel so weak and tired and all I have is a stomach bug. I feel so bad that stef came over to help me becuase I don't want to get her sick and my house is a mess and I look terrible.

She is in the kitchen making me some soup that I will hopefully be able to keep down, it also smells really good. Meanwhile i'm drinking something to hopefully keep my hydrated because I have practically thrown everything that was in my stomach up in the last 24 hours.

After about 30 more minutes I feel stefania start to wake me up. I didn't even notice I fell asleep but now she wants me to try and eat some soup.

She sits on the couch next to me and holds me while encouraging me to keep trying to eat a bit more. I don't even feel hungry but I know it'll be better if i'm able to eat something. "This is really good, thank you for making it and coming over" I say before taking another bite. "You don't need to thank me bella, I will always be here for you no matter what" she replies before pressing a soft kiss to my forehead.
