Danielle woke up in a warm hotel bed with stef curled up in her arms. They had flew into nyc the night before and decided to sped a couple days in the city before visiting danielle's family for christmas. She could hear stefania breathing and cars on the streets below. Stef look gorgeous even when she was fast asleep with her beautiful brunette hair strewn about.

I brushed some of stef's hair off of her face before placing kisses on her olive skin. She started to stir and opened her eyes with a smile. "Buongiorno bella" she said with her raspy morning voice that I loved so much. "Good morning pretty girl" I replied placing another kiss on her blushing cheeks.

Stefania had her arms wrapped around me and we were both under the fluffy hotel comforter that I moved off of us to start to get up. "Nooo, it's too cold" stef said with a pout while pulling the comforter back over us. "baby, that's becuase you are in a tank top and shorts in the middle of December in new york" I replied with a laugh at stefs comment.

"Well i'm perfectly warm under the blanket with you" she said closing her eyes to fall back to sleep while snuggling into my side. "Well we can get up and get dressed to walk around the city for awhile if you want, my love?". "5 more minutes pleaseee?" stef asked with a pout. "Of course baby" I responded while kissing the top of her head.

We finally got out of bed and got ready for the day. We decided to skip breakfast and stop for an early lunch instead.

We walked out of the hotel, hand-in-hand, onto the busy streets of new york city. "What do you want to do today bella?" I asked before we stopped at a crosswalk. "I would be happy to do whatever you want my love" she replied to me and kissed my cheek. "I was thinking we could walk around and shop a bit, just kind of wandering" I said. "That sounds wonderful" danielle responded.

We walked down whatever street looked interesting and shivered a bit in the cold wind. We walked into a couple different shops looking at the cheesy souvenirs and little gifts available to buy.

We went into a little christmas shop and I saw an ornament that I thought danielle would love so I told her that I was going to look around for a bit and I would meet her outside. The little ornament had a little labradoodle for ford and a terrier for jeff on the front and a collar with a heart. There were a bunch of different dogs and you could find your initial in the heart on the collar. I was able to find a 'D+S' and brought it to the counter to pay.

Me and danielle met outside again and she had a bag in her hand too from the little shop next door. "I guess we had the same idea bambina" I said with a laugh. We continued walking and stopping in shops we wanted to, before getting hungry and decided to get lunch. We ended up stopping at a little cafe that was on a less busy street.

We walked inside thankful for the break from the cold weather as we were much more used to LA's warm winters. We found a small table for two that was by a window before taking off our coats and sitting down. 

"Today has been so nice bambina" I say as we sit down. "It has been amazing, I love just getting to see different places and explore" she responds. The waiter comes over and I order a coffee and danielle orders tea.

"I know it's just new york city but since I was little I have always wanted to spend some time in nyc close to christmas. Seeing all the little gift shops and the lights and trees all over has been so fun". "Well i'm so glad I get to spend this time with you bambina" I replied. One of the things i've always loved about danielle is that she always gets excited by the little things. Whether it's going on a plane even though she been on one a thousand times or watching the sunrise on the beach, she never needs much to be happy and she's always so grateful.
