Fifty-Eight

Risa made sure Daiki is fed and back in his crib with a clean diaper. She heard from Shu that Moriko is dead. I know it must be for a day, but these guys are always thirsty. 

'What are you planning?' Shu teleported her downstairs to the living room. 

Reiji knows it must be good. You hardly call us downstairs for a meeting. He sees Subaru coming in as last. 'We're all here, Risa. What is this about?' 

'I know that Moriko is dead but that won't change the fact that you always want to bite.' Risa starts and feels all eyes on her. 'I'm starting a new policy. Until someone else arrives, you'll have to do with me, and I know that. Daiki sleeps for two hours at least and it's enough that I can have two of you bite me. Even if it means I would pass out. After all, I'm never alone with Daiki, and everyone here, minus one, knows how to change a diaper.' 

Kanato realizes all heads are turned to him. 'Do you really...' 

'That's not what this is about, Kanato. So don't worry. I think we all know why you keep your distance,' she adds fast. 'Every morning, or afternoon for you, two can bite me. Provided it's in my room, of course.' 

'This is quite something, Risa.' Reiji is surprised. 'Are you absolutely sure about this?' 

'I am, yes. It's not going to be random, I've thought of pairs. So in about ten minutes Shu and Subaru can bite me first. Tomorrow it will be Reiji and Kanato. I know that you haven't bitten me, and you said you'll try harder to control yourself and that's the reason why I choose you with Reiji,' she continues while braiding her fingers together. 

Kanato nods. 'Understandable.' 

Reiji agrees. I'll keep an eye on him for you. You are full of surprises, Risa. 

'And that leaves you two for the day after tomorrow. Now, I only have one thing to say to Laito about that. My legs and thighs are off limits.' 

His eyebrows turn upside down. 'I understand, Mama-chan, but you're taking the fun out of it.' 

Ayato crosses his legs. 'If it means we can bite you, I don't mind. It's better than to drink from a blood bag.' 

'I hope you understand also that there can't be any bitemarks in my neck anymore. Daiki is twenty-six days old today, and one of these days, he could notice the scars. He sees more when he's up close to me, and he's learning to use his hands.' She checks the time. And if they don't mess with it, they can drink every couple of days. 'Alright, allow me to go to the bathroom one last time.' 

Subaru nods. Unbelievable! Letting two of us bite her in the afternoon. That's worth of getting out of bed fast. He teleports upstairs knowing Shu will take her with him. 

Shu goes straight to her room and waits for her to get back. 

'Never thought she would allow two of us to bite.' Subaru hears quiet sounds. 

Risa comes back. 'I can give you some other good news. The bleeding is slowly stopping. Maybe one more week.' 

Shu smiles. 'That's more good news for you.' 

'And for us. It's less temptation,' adds Subaru. 'I won't be far away. And thank you.' He moves to her right side to bite her shoulder. 

While Shu is on her left side biting her neck. After a few minutes, he feels her hand slipping away. She's close to passing out. He stops quickly. 'Subaru.' 

The man just closed the small wounds. 'I know.' He noticed her eyes are closed. 

Shu catches her with ease. 'I got you.' In more than one way, it seems. He puts her in bed and covers her up. 'I have to study for a few tests in the next week so I'll stay.'
