'I hear someone crying. Maybe Risa because they took it too far with Shu.' Yuma kicks in the door and freezes on the spot.

Azusa has trouble moving Yuma away before he sees it. 'No,' he whispers with a shiver going down his spine.

Ayato gets inside. 'What have you done?!'

'That's the thing, I don't know.' Shu shakes his head without looking at them. I mean, I drank too much but what happened right before it? There is a small gap in my mind.

Yuma moves and pushes two fingers on the vein in her neck. 'Get up! She's not dead but her heartbeat is weak.'

What?! How did I miss it? 'She's gone. I can't even hear her heartbeat.' I was too late to stop. Damn it! How am I supposed to tell Daiki that I'm the one who killed her? He'll never forgive me.

'Azusa, get here.' Ayato realizes the same. Her heartbeat is weak and needs help asap. He makes sure to teleport all of them back to the location.

Reiji is already waiting with the others. 'What happened?' He's openly crying for losing her?

'We need to go. Now! Her heartbeat is getting weaker.' Ayato tells them quickly. 'Or is Daiki going to grow up without his mother?'

'No.' Reiji teleports back home instantly with Shu and Risa and grabs some things from his room.

Ayato took the others back. 'We'll take it...'

'Absolutely not,' shakes Azusa his head. 'I wanna know that she'll be alright... before I go back home.'

Yuma nods. 'Agreed, we came because she called us.'

'I'll call Ruki.' Kou walks away to make a phone call.

Reiji works fast and hooks up an IV. I hope we're on time. 'What made you do this?' He has to push Shu out of the way a few times. Finally done, he turns to his brother. 'What happened?'

'Shin tortured me and kept cutting my arms. I couldn't see straight anymore. The last thing I remember is him getting all over her. He wanted to bite her and have his way with her in front of me.' Shu sinks on the chair and hides his face in his hands. 'Because of him, my thirst was overwhelming and I bit her.'

'It seems you stabbed Shin with a knife. Either he's hanging on a lifeline, or he's dead. It depends if Carla found him on time.' Reiji hopes the guy is dead. And it seems like you are punishing and blaming yourself. 'She wanted to come after we found out that you were taken somewhere. She was in a bad shape before that because she believed you left them.'

Shu shakes his head. 'I could never do that.' Please, Risa, come back to me.

In a few steps, Reiji stands before his brother and lifts his head. 'If by some miracle she survives this, you owe her an apology. Yes, she knew what could happen but it didn't stop her. She wanted you back. I think for herself and Daiki.' He points at the girl in bed. 'That's love, Shu. A human emotion and it's a strong one but she won't admit it. Somehow she convinced herself she was doing it all for Daiki. So that you can be his father and be present in his life. If you can't say the same, then let them go.'

Love? Shu looks at Risa. I don't even know what it means. I haven't experienced it in my life. So how do I know what love is?

Reiji stays by the door. 'I'll change the IV when this one is empty.' He goes to the living room, where he finds the others. 'We'll need to wait. She's hooked to an IV, but she needs a miracle to pull through. It might be too late, after all. Only time will tell.'
