Kou hears the baby cry and the smell of blood in the air. Ruki didn't bite her or that he ordered us to bite her? So who did and why? 'Why won't you just answer one simple question? We'll let her go then.' 

'Didn't it occur that we don't know? We just found her dead, you imbecile!' Ayato charges at him. You took her away because I missed one goddamn book! That will never happen again. On my watch, no less. This is the reason she's not alone anymore. 

Ruki couldn't avoid all his fists and felt pain all over his body. 'I didn't know she's that important to you...' He coughs. 'But why is it only the two of you?' 

Shu holds him down with his foot on his chest. 'If I find out you hurt them, I will come back to kill you. So save me the trouble and tell me now what you did to them.' 

Damn it, I never knew he was this strong. Ruki can't get himself away from the man. 'Just tell me who killed her.' Karl needs to know. 

Ayato knocks the blonde out cold when he sees Azusa. 'Did you bite her?' 

Shaking his head, Azusa takes him upstairs and points out the luggage. 

Right, you told us where to find her when she was locked up with Kanato. Ayato knows his brother will take Risa and Daiki back home.

Shu leaves an unconscious man and follows the scent of blood downstairs. 

Yuma stayed with Risa. 'Is it enough for now?' He gestures to the food on the tray, which is empty. 

'It is,' she nods. 'Thank him for me, please?' 

He smiles. 'It's two of them, I can tell you that, but I have no idea who.' 

When Shu reaches the bottom of the stairs and a door, he kicks it in. His blood boils when he sees Yuma close to Risa. 'You...' 

'Before you do anything reckless, Risa let me bite her so you could follow her scent downstairs. I only stayed in case Ruki would come back. And Azusa brought her something to eat.' Yuma gets back on his feet. 'I take it both Ruki and Kou are out cold? You didn't kill them, right?' 

'Shu? Don't hurt him, he helped me, even by going against Ruki's orders.' Risa is happy to see him. It didn't take you long to come for us. 'Daiki?' The baby is asleep. 'He's asleep.' Your father is here, sweety. 

Shu gets closer and inspects her neck. 'Did anyone else bite you?' 

'No, they weren't here for that long.' Yuma puts his hands in his pockets. 'Regrettably, I have to say that Ruki threatened to bite Daiki when he was crying. And no, Risa tried everything to calm him down but it was just because of a different environment and the kidnapping itself.' I can't believe I'm telling him this. 

Angry, Shu looks at the guy but his eyes soften when he holds Daiki. He puts his other arm around Risa. Thank heaven, you're both alright. 'If I knew this before I would've killed him. Right now, he's unconscious.' 

That means that you figured out who the father is and it's you. 'Tell me one thing, how are you coping after Yui's death?' 

'For a long time, we didn't.' Shu answers with his eyes on Daiki, who seems peacefully asleep in his arms. 'Things started to change after Daiki was born.' He lifts his head. 'But that's all I can say.' 

Yuma doesn't let him go yet. 'Do you know who killed her?' 

'No, and I don't need to know either. Nothing good will come of it anyway.' Shu holds both of them. 'What will you do now that you know that I'm his father?'
