“Come on, Ellison. It will be fun.” Katherine said, holding her hand out to me. I sighed and grabbed her hand as she pulled me out through the window. Once she was on the ground, she guided me on how to get out of the tree. Great Oxie, the willow tree that stood right outside my bedroom window. I don't know how Katherine convinced me to come to her brother, Jacob's, party. I don't even know Jacob! But all of my friends were going, even Michaela, who hate's parties.
“Hurry!” Katherine started running towards her house once I was on the ground. I caught my breath, than ran after her. She wasn't waiting for me on the porch so I went in myself. Jacob was standing by the door, handing out drinks.
“Hey Ellison.” He said, smiling and handing a drink to me. Okay, now I know why I came. Jacob's smile was perfect! I smiled back and took the drink. I don't usually drink alcohol but Jacob was staring at me so I took a sip.
“Ellison!” Michaela yelled.
“Oh my gosh, Jacob's smile!” She grabbed me and pulled me down on the couch beside her.
“That's exactly what I was thinking.” I replied, taking another sip of my drink. Michaela and I sat on the couch, fan-girling over Jacob's smile for most of the party.
“Maybe you should get home?” Michaela asked, almost cautiously, later on during the night.
“No way! I want to see Jacob again!” I yelled, drunk.
“Ellison, shush. You need to get home.” Michaela ran off and came back with Katherine. They pulled me off the couch and walked me towards the door.
“Bye Jacob!” I yelled as they pushed me through.
“Oh my gosh Ellie. Your so drunk.” Katherine talked like she was the one drunk.
“You guys..” I pushed their hands off my shoulders. “I can get home myself.” At first they didn't follow, but I soon felt Michaela's hands again.
“At least let me help you to Oxie?”
“Fine, fine.”
When we got there, I started climbing up. I didn't know where to put my feet so I stumbled several times. Soon, I fell straight back to the bottom of the tree. Michaela and Katherine weren't there anymore to help me up so I layed down on the ground. That was the last thing I remember from that night.
