I emerged from the bathroom to our ice creams being deposited by Logan on the table, and Drake and him in a heated conversation.

“So stop, seriously.” was the last thing Drake said, before he silently shooed Logan away.

“What were you talking about?” I asked, picking up a gummy bear and nibbling on the ear.

“Look, Tailee,” Drake started, moving his hand toward mine, then remembered what I had said earlier and moved it back. “I really like you. But I'm pretty sure you know that already. You are so similar to Amelia that it's not even funny. Speaking of funny, you're hilarious. And everything you've been through.. You're so strong. Mentally, emotionally, physically. Brandi and Aris love you. And I love you. Please, be my girlfriend?” Drake smiled that wonderful smile that I love, and I couldn't help but to blush and smile back.

Everything that he had said just made me so happy. That was all I had wanted from my past boyfriends. Someone who didn't like me because I was pretty, but because of who I am. No where in those sentences had Drake said anything about my looks. That was all I wanted, all along.

“Yes.” I smiled at him.

Drake smiled and grabbed my hand. This time, I didn't pull away.
