Bexity sighed, spotting the familiar sandy coat of sapphire at the entrance to the cave.

"Your awake, finally. C'mon, get packed up, we need to continue."

"Alright miss boss"

Her tail flicked, her ears suddenly pinned back as she spun to spat at bexity "never call me that again!"

"Alright, alright, damn." Bexity stood stretching

Sapphire tilted her head in confusion "where did that come from?"

Bexity followed her gaze to a single raven feather. "Must've dragged it from home"

She wouldn't tell sapphire about the time travel.. what if something happened?

She picked the feather up, stuffing it along with her pallet back into the bag.

She picked it up "let's go"

Sapphire nodded, turning and padding out of the cave. "The end of your journey is near, child of the before!"

"You really need to start calling me my name." Bexitys ear flicked in amusement.

Sapphire stopped suddenly

"Uhh why are you sto- WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?"

suddenly a hyena looking creature appeared, if hyenas had scorpion tails and no eyes.

"A laughter demon, God damnit my yellow-mint stores ran out!"

The creature snapped it's head to bexity, ignoring the cat before running at her, tail raised and mouth agape. It was gonna kill her.

She ran, terror making it so she could only do such.

But then she ran into a meadow, hearing a screech of pain she looked behind her, the creature was pacing, it heard her and smelt her, but it didn't come near. Then she saw the culprit, yellow-mint surrounded the meadow, forcing the demon to stay out.

At the edge of the meadow was a cave, it looked like it had sharp fangs. It was surrounded by the yellow-mint plants, and so she want in, thinking maybe she'd be safe then.

But as she reached a large chamber, a pedestal with a lever was in the center, surrounded by different looking statues.

She inspected the statues with awe, before reading what was engraved in the pedestal.

"Child of the before, pull the lever and save the family you hold close to your core. Impending doom is clear from this room."

Whoever wrote it clearly knew who bexity was.

Even though she distrusted it, she carefully gripped the lever, pulling on it.

As she did the statues crumbled one by one, leaving creatures that looked just like them.

A black dragon looking creature, a white dragon-like creature that wore a silver watch, a red lion, A shark looking blue wolf, a wolf sized treefrog, and a gold and white gryphon.

The black dragon was the first to acknowledge bexitys presence, the others looking at themselves, it had clearly been a while since they've been alive? Awake?

It looked at her with dark orange eyes, before letting out a bark of laughter "don't look so confused, kid!"

Bexity noticed that once it said that the others looked at her

"That's the child of the before?" The treefrog blinked

"Don't be so rude, Terra!" The gryphon snorted "she's a kid!"

The white one shook it's head, padding to bexity. "I'm assuming you didn't wake us just for nothing"

And thus bexity was left to speak "my home, it's uh.. no longer safe. Already, three people have died and one is ill. The one to blame, according to the spirits I've met, is alaki"

"Alaki. He's definitely the cause of your problems. Long ago, we were trapped here by him." The white one dipped it's head

The black one nodded "we can help you, you freed us after all."

Bexity smiled softly "first, there's a demon out of the meadow this cave is in, and it's intent on killing me, sapphire said it was a laughter demon"

"Did you say sapphire?" The lion spoke "as in self exiled god that helps lost spirits get to kiru?"

"I guess so."

The lion nodded

But then the shark spoke "what's your name, kid?"

"My name is bexity nekimo, daughter of shade and Jake nekimo"
