Classes with Shawn were going quiet smoothly. We were all busy with assignments and graduation was only a few months away. After the cafeteria's incident, Shawn seemed a little distant. It wasn't like I cared.

"Jenny," I called but she was so busy on her phone that she turned a deaf ear. "Jenny!" I shouted and this time she was startled.

"Amy, you scared me. I was listening." She complained. "Yeah, sure you were." I rolled my eyes as I snatched her phone.

"Please, come with me, it would cost you a few minutes." I pleaded.

"Amy, first I know you won't take a few minutes, I know you well, you take hours in the library and secondly I already took and paid for that appointment, I can't miss that appointment, this teeth is hurting really bad." She genuinely apologised as he placed her hand on her cheek.

"Okay, I understand, you go, I will try to finish up my work earlier and go home, please take care as the weather is worsening, it looks like it is going to rain," I said as I handed her phone back to her.

"Bye Amy, take care and I am sorry once again." She kissed me before storming away from her. I sighted as I made my way to the library.

"Hello ma'am, I said to the librarian as she packed her bag. "Hello, Amelia." She replied.

"Actually, I want to make some references, can I?" I requested, hoping she would not refuse because it was already late.

"Miss Stones, I would have refused but since you are regular here, I will let you but you have only ten minutes because university is about to close and I have to close so till I shut off the computers and all, you can do your work." She smiled and I nodded.

These assignments would get me killed. I haven't got any time to do these works and tomorrow would be the deadline and if I didn't return these, I would be dead, like not literally but anyways.

Ten minutes was much better than nothing, at least I would get something scribbled in my notebook. Even if it was trash. The library was empty and the first floor seemed quiet as well, I couldn't hear any voices.

Of course, University was over, it was nearly night and everybody perhaps had gone and I was here, sitting in the library doing references, all alone, listening to the roaring wind. What a life. The life of a soon to be graduate.

A few minutes later, Mrs Fernandez ran to my desk. "Miss stones." She said between sobs as tears streamed down her face.

"What happened, Mrs Fernandez? I stood up and asked her.

"My son, the police called me and said he had an accident and he broke his leg,I have to go." She said between breaths as tears continued to run down her face.

"Relax Mrs Fernandez, by the grace of God, he will be alright," I assured as I hugged her. She hugged me back as if she desperately needed that.

"Thank you so much Miss Stones." She said as we parted and wiped her tears.

"I have to go but you can complete your work if you want, as a protocol I have to leave the keys to the administration but the door is lock-automated so when you leave just shut it normally and it will be locked and please one request, please shut off all the computers before you leave, can you? She requested.

"Yes ma'am and thank you so much. Don't worry your son will start walking again soon." I encouraged her. She nodded and then left hurriedly.

So I was alone and it was starting to rain and perhaps I would take half an hour to finish up my work so I decided to call my father to pick me up. The time he would take to come would allow me to finish up my work so I reached for my phone, to my surprise the battery was dead and my phone was switched off. Great. I would soak completely from the time I arrived home on my scooter.
