Yesterday was a day well spent. We came home late and Maia was already asleep in the car.

This morning, with a heavy heart, we went to drop her back. She was crying and refusing to go but we managed to convince her.

I still didn't tell Aithan that Angel would help us with Maia's case. I wanted to surprise him because Angel told me that she would start working on the case today and would try to halt the adoption immediately so Maia could be safe in the orphanage. She said if everything goes well, we could get her custody soon.

I was happy that everything seemed to get on track. I'm happily married to Aithan, Angel started talking to me again. Jenny and Jeremy were having a baby. Rain and Johnathan were getting in a live in relationship. We would have Maia's custody soon. And the most important thing was that I have a donor. I won't depend on a bunch of medicines anymore. No more LVAD machines attached. I will be free. Finally, I'm happy. I wanted to live. Happily,

"Hey, where are you lost?" Aithan asked as he snapped his fingers in front of my face.

"Nothing, what's up?" I asked and he took both my hands in his and helped me to get up.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"We are going for lunch." He informed me.

"But where?" I asked, confused. We didn't had any plans for lunch.

"Surprise, go and get ready." He smiled.

When I got in the bedroom, there were clothes already placed on the bed and surprisingly it was the same casual clothes that I wore when I got lost in the woods. So, he still remembered. He surely was in a romantic mood today.

I smiled as I took the clothes and got into the bathroom.

Once ready, I went to join him downstairs. He was in his clothes, all white. Maybe it was the clothes he was in when we met the first time. Frankly speaking, I didn't remember but I knew he was in white clothes. It was his uniform every single day.

"You are missing your uniform clothes right?" I giggled as I joined him in the living room. He placed down the book that he was reading and looked at me in awe. I was amused by his reaction.

"Why are you looking at me like this?" I chuckled as I took my bag to the counter.

"Because I love you." He said in an obvious tone. I chuckled and was about to walk toward him but he gestured to me to go out.

"Go, go, we will be late." He gestured towards the door.

"Okay, come," I said as I headed towards the door. He took the keys, and the prepared bag which was sure was my medicines and stuff and then followed me outside.

Once in the car, from the road that he took, I knew where we were going. We were going into the woods.

"We are going in the woods?" I asked, to confirm my doubts.

"Don't you like it?" He asked, looking concerned.

"No, no, of course, I would like to. You know, before knowing you, I had a phobia of the woods, but now it's cured, all because of you, thank you, doctor." I laughed as I placed my hand on his knees.

"My pleasure." He smiled.

"You are brave love, despise your hylophobia, you kept coming to meet me again and again and I kept being an ass." He said, feeling quite apologetic.

"No, I know you didn't mean to, you went on defensive and survival mode, for me you are special and will always be, I was attracted to you at first sight. You intrigued me and I was infatuated with you. " I said as I patted his knee and he smiled as he placed his free hand on mine.
