That night was an intimate moment that I have never felt with Shawn. With Shawn, it was only lust. With Aithan it was different.  With Aithan I felt emotionally attached. Indeed there was sexual tension between us but along with that, there was an emotion greater than sexual desire between us, that was the desire to care and support.

"Amy, come, the dinner is ready," Aithan shouted from the kitchen.

"Coming," I said as I closed my laptop and headed towards the kitchen.

"Come, take these sweets before dinner." He winked at me as he handed me those classic bunch of pills.

"Yeah right." I rolled my eyes as I gulped down all at once.

We laid out the table together and were about to sit for dinner when suddenly I heard the doorbell rang. Aithan and I exchanged looks as we weren't expecting anyone, moreover at this time.

I attempted to get up when he stopped me.

"Wait, it's late now, I wonder who it is at this time, I will see who it is." He said and I nodded.

Soon after, he was gone and I took a piece of bread and started nibbling as I waited for him when suddenly I heard his voice, he was kind of screaming.

"What the hell do you want now? Aren't you satisfied with hurting us? Why the fuck are you here?" I heard him and hurried to see who he was shouting at.

Surprise took me completely when I saw who was at the door.

Shawn.

He was standing at the door, with a guilty expression as he listened to Aithan quietly.

He hasn't changed much since I last saw him. He was still dashing. As usual.

He was no doubt slightly more handsome than Aithan but his personality and character were a million times ugly.

"Listen to me, please call Amelia, I want to talk with her once, please, just once." He requested and as soon as he saw me, he barged inside and in a blink of an eye, he was already in front of me.

I was stunned. How did he remember me after so many weeks?

How dare he come to meet me here?

"How are you?" He asked and took my hand in his, unexpectedly. I tried to object but his grip was so firm.

Not to mention that Aithan was burning with rage, his eyes spoke it all but he didn't move, he stayed where he was, watching us, observing me.

"Why are you here?" I asked, ignoring his question.

I was trying hard to free my hand from his grip but failed miserably. He tried to hold my other hand and then Aithan lost his cool, completely. He came with a force and pushed Shawn away from me. He was physically more strong than Shawn, afterall, he was an Airforce Officer.

"Don't touch her, don't you see that she is uncomfortable with you touching her! Just say  the fuck you want to say and go away from here, neither of us wants to see your face here." Aithan spat venomously as he stood next to me. He held my hand with assurance and I could feel instantly calmed by his touch. Shawn's face changed as he saw that action.

"Shawn, why are you here?" I asked and he smiled faintly as he took a step closer to me. He tried to cup my face but then stopped as he took a glimpse of Aithan.

"I'm going to settle in Canada, with my parents, staying here is futile now, your memories haunt me." He said as tears budded in his eyes.

"You remember the job offer that I rejected because you didn't want to move there, well now that I have lost everything, I got nothing else to lose, so I decided to apply again and luckily, I got the job. I just came here to say goodbye." He said, his eyes fixed on mine.
