Aithan
Wake up

I heard this voice distantly. And there was no doubt that I wouldn't recognize this voice. It was her voice. Amelia.

I opened my eyes and saw myself lying down. I looked around but there was no one around and the room was kind of all white and bright light coming from all over the place. Where was I?

I got up and, standing in front of me was Amelia. She was dressed in a plain long white dress and she was without any makeup or jewelry. Her ginger locks complemented the round shape of her dress. She was wearing a smile that I could die for, over and over again.

"Amelia, are you for real?" I asked, bewildered by what I was seeing because this wasn't a dream. This seemed real. It was real.

She didn't reply but was only smiling. I took a few steps towards her and stopped as I saw a thin black line that was drawn between her and me.

I was confused for a few seconds but decided to cross it as it wasn't too wide that it couldn't be crossed.

I was about to cross it when she shouted.

"No! Don't come here." She finally talked. It was her. Indeed.

"Amelia." I smiled as I admired her in awe.

"I want to join you, love. I missed you." I said. Desperately wanting to take her in my arms.

So finally, I did it. I came to her. It wasn't a dream. It was happening.

"Listen to me Aithan. Love, you have to accept reality. I won't be with you anymore. I'm not with you anymore and you have to accept it." She said but didn't seem to be sad.

"Why?" I asked confusingly. She was right here with me. In front of me. Why can't we be together? It didn't make sense. I wasn't alone. She was with me.

"Do you remember what you did?" She asked.

Feeling guilty about what I have just done, I nodded as I remembered taking those pills. The one that she forbade me to.

"But Amy, love. I wanted to be with you, stop behaving like this. Wait, let me come there and we will talk." I said as I tried to join her.

"Aithan! Wait! Don't come here!" she shouted and I stopped. I looked at her confusingly. Why was she shouting like this?

"But why?" I asked, quite pissed off.

She looked at me again with this smile. This was starting to get on my nerves. Why was she doing this to me?

"If you cross this, you won't be able to return." She said,

"Who cares?" I laughed. Really. I didn't care and didn't want to go back. Why should I?

"Aithan, we can't be together even now."

"But why?"

"Because I came here naturally but you forced your way here. We won't be able to stay together until it will be your natural time to come." She said and my happiness faded.

"You still have time. It isn't late. You still have a chance. Turn your back and go, return." She pleaded.

"No, I want to remain here with you and now, stop your stories and let me by your side." I rolled my eyes as I attempted to cross the line again.

"You love me so much that you want to die for me?" She asked and I nodded.

"So, with the same love that you have for me, you must live for me, for us, for the family that we created with love." She said and it was enough to halt me. I looked at her desperately and with a question that was hurling in my eyes. Just, why?
