I opened my eyes and it took me a few seconds to realize where I was. I turned to Aithan to check on him but he wasn't there.

The clock was screaming Eleven o'clock. How come I slept this much and Aithan didn't wake me up?

Maybe because I was too tired yesterday and we went to sleep after midnight as there were my parents, Rain and Jenny here. Maia slept here but Aithan had to drop her back at the orphanage, maybe he went to drop her. She didn't want to go back and we didn't want her to either but she had to go. I hoped we would find a solution for her soon.

I yawned loudly as I locked around. The bedroom was perfect, as the rest of the house. Victorian-style furniture and it wasn't white anymore. He made them in gold color.

Yesterday was the best day of my life. Finally, Aithan was mine. My husband. It was a dream come true.

I was about to get out of bed when my phone rang. It was a group video call, with obviously, Jenny and Rain. Who else? I smiled as I answered.

"Hey, newly bride, what's up, how are you feeling?" Jenny asked. This was a routine since I was in the hospital. They would both call every single day and we would talk for like one hour.

"Quite well, actually I just woke up and was about to go and freshen up, then you girls called," I said as I looked around to see if I saw Aithan but he was nowhere to be seen. I wondered where he was.

"Where is Aithan?" Rain asked, speaking my thoughts.

"He is nowhere to be seen since I woke up, maybe he went to drop Maia to the orphanage."

"Don't worry, he must be around, yes maybe he went to drop Maia home or maybe he is preparing something to surprise you." Jenny giggled.

"Alright, guys I'm going to see where he is and we will talk later," I said as I tried to get off the bed, just then, Aithan came in. He was half naked, with just his jeans and no shirt.

What a perfect body he had.

"Good morning Mi amor." He said with a smile as he came to sit beside me. I was a little jealous as they were still on call and saw him like this.

"You are one lucky girl Amy, you got a handsome hunk," Jenny said, as usual, and Rain giggled.

"Girls, I feel unsecured here." Aithan laughed  jokingly and tried to cover his chest with his arms. All of us laughed at his gesture.

"Alright girls, carry on, Little Red, I'm waiting for you in the kitchen, join me when you finish. Don't be late, you have to take your medicines on time." He said as he kissed me lightly on the forehead.

"Where is Maia?"

"I dropped her earlier, they called and asked to bring her so I did, don't be late, I'm waiting for you." He said and I nodded before fading away.

"Amy, you are lucky indeed that you found Aithan, otherwise hearing what Shawn did to you made me almost lose trust in men, I couldn't believe he raise hands on you, that motherfuck." Rain spat angrily.

"Shawn always had anger issues but if you see it in a way, I haven't done well with him either. I shouldn't have betrayed him." I tried to justify.

Jenny laughed sarcastically before she responded.

"So what if he has 'anger issues', it doesn't mean that you have to be his punching bag, I still feel bad that I persuade you to accept him, I should have known that he isn't the right one for you when he behaved like a psychopath on my birthday. I thought he was just in love with you but being in love doesn't mean that you should do things like this." Jenny said and Rain nodded.

"I'm in the guilty boat too." Rain added.

"Leave it girls, why dig the old grave? The important thing is that I'm happy with the decision that I have taken, I'm in love with Aithan,he loves me equally and we are happy," I confessed and they nodded agreeing.

"Alright Amy, go and join him in the kitchen otherwise you will be late for your medicines, we will catch up later, okay?" Rain said and I nodded before hanging up the phone.

I sighed as I got off the bed. I wondered what my destiny was yet to bring me.

Surprise took me completely when I entered the kitchen. Breakfast was ready and he was patiently waiting for me while reading one of Nicolas Sparks's novels.

"Ohh, so you are one romance addict." I teased him as i pecked him lightly on the lips before settling down beside him.

He smiled and placed down his book before getting up to serve me breakfast.

He placed my plate and a glass of milk in front of me and sat down.

"You still don't eat breakfast?" I asked.

"No." He replied.

"Please, I don't like to eat alone. For me." I requested and he looked at me with a faint smile and nodded. He then took a pancake and a glass of juice.

The pancakes were no wonder delicious, as usual.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked as he sipped his coffee.

"Like a baby, and you?"

"Yes, not that bad, it's just, I have slept alone for years, so it was a little weird but trust me, your presence comforted me." He said truthfully as he held my hand.

I could imagine. I guess he would adjust with time.

"Take these pills." He said sympathetically as he handed me those bunch of pills again.

I rolled my eyes at them. How long would I have to live on pills around the clock? I guessed, until I die.

"Aithan," I said as our eyes met and locked. At this point, I could feel my eyes heavy with tears that were afraid of falling.

I cupped his face as I ask him,

"How long will I have to live like this?"

He reached for my hand, and took my hands in his as he replies,

"Mi amor, don't worry, we will find a donor soon and after this, if not all, atleast the medicines will surely decline in quantity." He answered.

"I have good news for us." He informed me.

"Tell me."

"I will be at home with you, as an online estate agent and an online trader, I will be working from home, with you so you won't feel lonely and I will have your company, it's a win-win situation." He said as happiness gleamed in his eyes.

"That's great, listen,I was thinking of joining work in a few weeks, what do you say?" I asked and as soon as I mentioned work, his face changed.

He took my hands in his and looked at me.

"You know you don't need to work right? I can assure you that you won't lack anything, I know our positions is a little different, me being kind of self-employed and you being a journalist but trust me, I can take care of you, you don't need to work, especially in this condition where you need rest and utmost care. I lost my Airforce job due to the police case but trust me I makes enough." He winked as he forced a laugh and I felt bad that he misunderstood me. He thought I cared about his position.

"You are getting me wrong. I want to work, not for money, but only for my passion. It's my hobby, something I like to do." I said as I caressed his left cheek. His eyes closed automatically at my touch and I could sense his body relaxed. He wasn't disgusted about physical touch anymore.I smiled at his reaction.

"Amy, as long as it makes you happy, do it wholeheartedly but please wait a little more, until you become more stable and adjusted." He said as his eyes fixed on mine.

"Thank you," I said as he took me gently in a hug.

"No, thank you for coming, staying  and brightening my life." He said as he hugged me a little tight.

My fairy tale. Would it be a happily ever after? Forever?
