Castiel's POV

"No. Crowley please. Don't hurt her" I felt my heart being squeezed and I had never felt pain like this before. I didn't know how I was going to save her from Crowley.

Crowley smiled slightly as he said, "I do believe your emotions are showing Castiel."

I looked down at Y/N and saw the confusion mixed with fear on her face and I swallowed the lump I felt forming in my throat. Why was this hurting so much? I hated seeing the fear and uncertainty in her eyes, so I looked back up at him and said, "Crowley, you don't need her. She is nothing to you."

I was hoping that would be enough for him to let her go without saying anything else, but Crowley just had to add the final angst for me as he smiled and said, "No, but she's everything to you. You must be the only angel ever to fall in love with a human. No. To fall in love, full stop."

He pushed Y/N towards me, and I wrapped my arms around her, to protect her, but then Crowley snapped his fingers and was gone. It was nice to have Y/N in my arms and I would have held her longer, but she pushed away from me and spun around to see that Crowley was gone. I stepped back, away from her as I remembered that she still wasn't sure about me, and I didn't want to upset her anymore.

Turning to face me she just stood there staring at me. I wanted to look away, but I wanted to stare in her beautiful eyes, which had now lost the fear since Crowley's departure, but still held the confusion. She seemed to be struggling with words and I didn't know if it was because she didn't want to talk to me, or she didn't know what to say. I was hoping it was the latter.

"I should get you back to the bunker" I said softly as I took a step gingerly towards her "Do you mind if I touch your shoulder to take you there?"

She frowned, but then shook her head at me to say it was fine. She watched my hand as I raised it up and placed it on her shoulder and then her eyes met mine. We were back in the main room of the bunker and neither one of us moved.

Dean came rushing in from the bedrooms a few minutes later "Oh thank God. You found her" It was then that I finally dropped my hand and moved away from her once again. I stood back as Dean came over to her, "Are you ok?" he asked.

She didn't take her eyes off me as she nodded her head at him. Dean looked over his shoulder at me, then back to Y/N "What happened?"

"I need to be alone" she said as she stepped over towards the archway, but stopped and turned to me "Thank you for saving me Castiel"

"You're welcome" I said softly not meeting her eyes, but as she stood there silently for a few minutes I looked over and met her eyes.

"Can you give me some time to think?" she asked me.

"Of course" was all I said, and I watched as she disappeared through the archway to the bedrooms.

Dean stood staring at me and after a few minutes he finally asked, "What happened?"

"Oh, um-" I looked at the archway with a frown and replied, "Crowley had her"

"Pardon me, Cas" Dean sounded stunned.

I turned to Dean and wondered if he didn't hear me, or he didn't understand what I said. Either way I didn't really care at that moment "She knows everything Dean. Even the fact that I might be in love with her"

Dean didn't say anything, he just stared at me for the longest time, then slowly a smile crossed his lips and he said, "Well, Cas, that's pretty big"

"We both know it now and I am just going to give her time to think about everything."
