Y/N's POV
It had been a couple of days since we rescued Castiel from the angel trap at the warehouse and I had noticed that he had been on edge. I had wanted to talk to him about Jimmy Novak, but I also had a feeling that there was more that he wasn't telling me, but no matter how hard I pushed he just denied that there was anything he was keeping from me. I decided that I would pressure him more about it and talk about Claire, but right now I was at work trying to do more testing on the samples that Sam and Dean had brought to me from the many hunts that they had been on.
"Hello darling" I heard the deep British voice of Crowley before I knew he was even there. He was to my right, a few steps away from me so I hadn't seen him appear.
Spinning around I dropped the vial of vampire blood, which shattered, spilling its contents across the floor and up the cupboard. Meeting the eyes of the demon I stepped back feeling the second counter that ran along the back wall behind me, and I pushed my weight against it, "Crowley!" I managed to say.
The demon smiled at me and said, "Ah, you remember who I am?" he picked up one of the vials of blood from the counter and watched the red liquid move around inside as he twisted and turned it gently.
"What are you doing here Crowley?" I asked, trying to keep the quiver from my voice as I was feeling the nervousness creeping all through me.
"I see you didn't get my message" his eyes flicked up to me, then back to the blood sample as he held it forward, over the mess that I had already made when I dropped my sample. He released the vial he was holding, allowing it to drop to the floor, shattering it, spilling its contents "Oops" he said, and I heard the tone of sarcasm.
"I did get your message" I snapped with anger but regretted it as soon as it came out of my mouth, and his anger filled eyes shot up meeting mine.
"I will not be ignored!" his voice rose slightly, and I heard the annoyance, "I clearly told your angel boyfriend that I wanted you to stop all this" he took a step towards me, but I had nowhere to go, "So, tell me why you continue to test for this cure when you were warned?"
"I believe in choices-"
"Who do you think you are?" he yelled, and his eyes flashed a deep dark red, before turning back to their normal colour.
"Crowley!" Castiel had appeared behind the demon, who spun around to face the angel, "I warned you Castiel. I told you what I wanted"
"Don't hurt her Crowley" Castiel took a step towards me, but Crowley waved his hand, and I watched the angel being thrown against the wall to my right where he was held as though he was a garment on a hook.
"I told you to stop her" Crowley screamed at Castiel "Or else I would kill her"
"Crowley" Castiel was pleading as he looked over at me and I could see the fear in his eyes.
So that was what he wouldn't tell me. Crowley had threatened my life. No wonder Castiel was so worried, but why didn't he say anything? I looked away from Castiel and back to Crowley who turned his eyes to me. Leaning in close to me I smelled the alcohol on his breath as he said, "Stop the testing or I come back" he clicked his fingers and all the test tubes and glass dishes in the room shattered, sending blood and glass everywhere.
I closed my eyes and turned away but felt the sting of a couple of shards as they flew past, probably slicing their way as they went.
I looked around and saw that Crowley was gone. Castiel was getting to his feet, obviously when Crowley disappeared the angel had fallen to the ground, released from whatever hold Crowley had had on him. The air still held Crowley's aftershave mixed with the alcohol and the blood that was splattered across the counter, down the cupboard, on the floor and all over me.
