Heaven's Path

Castiel's POV

I heard Y/N snoring slightly beside me and I wanted to stay here with her, but I had been called to Heaven for a meeting. I wasn't sure who I had to see, or why, all I knew was that one of my angel brothers had called to me saying I was requested in Heaven as soon as I could get there. I rolled over towards her and saw that she was facing my side. The blanket was tucked under her chin and no doubt her arm was under the pillow, which she would later complain that it had gone to sleep and spend the next five or ten minutes shaking her arm to rid herself of the pins and needles as the blood flow returned.

Hoping not to wake her I reached out with my left hand, cupping her cheek gently and placing a kiss on her forehead. I took my hand away and leant near her ear and whispered, "I'll be back. I love you" I kissed her cheek and got up out of bed. I got dressed quickly and flew up to Heaven. I found myself next to the small creek where I had been to see Bobby a couple of times. The older man was not there at the moment, but I was sure he wasn't too far away.

I looked around, wondering where I should go and who I had to see. "Hello Castiel" I heard the voice and turned to see Jack standing there. I felt the smile on my face as the young Nephilim rushed over and gave me a hug "It is good to see you again" he said.

Stepping back, I looked at him and noticed that he hadn't changed at all "Are you the one I am to meet?" I asked.

Jack nodded his head, "Yes, I am. I was wanting to let you know about the path that Y/N is on"

I felt my heart almost stop and my breath caught, but when I released my breath I heard my heart beating like it should and I asked, "Her path?"

"Yes" Jack said simply as he started walking down a small path, away from the stream, and then continued to talk, "She will make a discovery soon and I want you to be supportive of her"

I frowned, but followed Jack down the small path, "What discovery?"

Jack was silent for a few minutes as we walked along the path, and then he met my eyes with a smile, "I'm sorry Castiel, but I'm afraid if I give too much away it could alter something and we don't want that to happen"

I nodded but didn't feel happy that he seemed to know what was going to happen and I wasn't able to know. Jack continued to talk, "I just need you to continue what you are doing with Y/N. Stay with her, watch over her, protect her"

I stared at the path before us and felt slightly nervous as I asked my next question, "Have you been watching us?"

A smile crossed Jack's lips as he huffed out a little laugh, "Yes, I have" he stopped walking and faced me.

I stopped beside him and said, "So you know- "

"About your human emotions?" Jack asked, interrupting me, and then nodded, "Yes Castiel. I know"

I frowned, "Heaven isn't worried that I am feeling these....emotions?"

He shook his head, "No. It is-" he paused a moment, tilting his head slightly as he was thinking of his next words, and then smiling again he said, "perfect"

"But angels do not have human emotions"

"You were always special Castiel"

"I thought that maybe my time with Sam and Dean has changed me?"

Jack nodded, "Yes, it did"

I swallowed feeling my next words would be met with disappointment, so I softly said, "I am in love with her"

The smile was the biggest and warmest one I had even seen Jack give, "I am happy for you"

"Heaven isn't against our relationship?"
