Castiel's POV

We drove straight to Y/N's apartment so that she could pack a bag with some clothes to get her by for few days. Dean had said it was better if she was at the bunker where we could all talk about who had taken her. We had told her that we thought it best to bring her with us because we weren't sure why those demons wanted her, well that's what we were telling her. Not about the demons, just that we weren't sure why she had been taken and that maybe she should stay a little while until we could figure out why. Problem was, I think I knew why the demons wanted her. I think it was because of me.

I had sat in the backseat with Y/N, and I felt relieved that we had found her, but at the same time I was worried that I had finally shown myself to her and now I didn't know what to say to her. I couldn't tell her who I was, I was supposed to stay hidden, just watch and guide her. I noticed the quick glances that Y/N and Dean were sharing with each other during the ride, and I wasn't happy. I knew that women found Dean handsome and that he slept with many, but I couldn't fight the feeling that Y/N wouldn't just become another woman added to Dean's conquests. Are you jealous? Again? I asked myself.

When Dean stopped at Y/N's apartment, he suggested that she didn't go up alone and said I should go with her. I didn't really want to go, I didn't want to be alone with her, and when I looked at Y/N she seemed not to want me to go with her either.

"I'm parked illegally Cas" Dean said quickly as he glanced over at Y/N "If a cop comes by, I'll have to move."

I then realised that the Impala was parked with the driver's side against the curb, so he was parked in a no parking spot as well as facing the wrong way. Reluctantly Y/N agreed to me coming up stairs with her and I opened the door, turning back to help her out of the car, but I saw that she had gotten out on the other side, on the road. She really didn't do things safely and I worried about that dare devil part of her so much.

She walked over to the front of the building, and I followed her, not glancing back at the look that was probably on Dean's face. I was sure he thought this was a great idea, but I only saw problem after problem. Y/N opened the door, and I followed her in and up the stairs. She lived on the third level, so it wasn't that hard to climb the few stairs. As I started up the stairs behind her, I noticed that her buttocks were at my eye level, so I turned my eyes down to the stairs and moved slightly over to the right, so as not to be right behind her.

She glanced over her shoulder at me and said, "I'm on the third level. I hope you don't mind stairs? The elevator has been out of service for years."

"No. It's fine" I said, keeping my eyes on the steps ahead of me, anything not to look at her.

We were almost on the third level when she glanced back again and said, "Thank you."

I frowned and then met her eyes "What for?"

"You helped save me. I don't know how, but you were there."

"You are welcome."

She stopped on the landing and turned to face me. I stepped up beside her and we looked at each other before she finally said, "How did you get into the room behind the guy who had me?"

I didn't know how to answer that. How stupid was I to admit that I was in that room with her. I tried to think of something, but nothing was coming to mind, so I tried to change the subject "We need to hurry. Maybe we should talk about this when we get back to the bunker? I don't think it's a good idea to stand around here."

She glared at me for a moment with a slight frown, but then she nodded her head and went over to her apartment door. She used the key to open it and I followed her in, closing the door behind me. She dropped the keys on the table inside the door and turned to me, "Make yourself at home. I'll just grab a few things and we can be gone again."
