Chapter 7 Lucky Me Dylan

My brother has been lying to me. I have a note that can not be found anywhere. And now I'm running out the back door of my brother's house from the Sins who found our location. 
"Where are we–" I began, before then, I heard Sam's voice in my head. 
"Those were the Sins out front correct?" she began. 
"I thin—" I began. 
"Yes. That was Rowan who stepped in front of the window." My brother replied?! 
I looked directly at him with widened eyes. "You can also read minds?!" 
"No, I can connect with other Protectors. It's an effect of being a Protector."
"Of course it is." I rolled my eyes. 
"Enough!" Sam cut in. "We need to find the note before the Sins get us." 
"Right, we should head back to Dylan's place and search there first." Audré suggested. 
"I already told you it isn't there." I said. 
"Did you check or did you run first?" he asked. 
"We had to run, we had no choice." Sam assured. 
"Then we have to go back." 
I let out a quiet groan as we began our way around his house, and away from the front at any point.

Just when we thought we were clear of the SIns, we were proven wrong. 
	"Mierda, is that Sol?" Audré asked. 
	"Yeah, he must've beaten us here." Sam answered. 
Something clicked in my mind and it wasn't about the Sins. "You didn't give us a bag." 
	"No, but I gave you answers and truth. Want more?" Audré looked at me. 
	"We could've used a bag if I'm being honest." Sam agreed. 
Her agreement made me smile a bit as we tried to find a way around Sol so he wouldn't see us in this bush. 
	"You guys go one way, I'll go the other." Sam suggested. 
	"What, no. I'll go another way, you two go one way." Audré fought. 
	"I'm the one who can turn into a cat. And you?" 
	"I—" he paused. "You got me there, but–" 
	"Go with your sister, I'll meet you two at her apartment." 
Audré hesitated then released a harsh groan. He grabbed my wrist gently and we were off to my apartment that was far from our current state. I turned back around a bit just to see Sam turn into a cat and run the other way. 
	And Sol approached her just at the slightest. My heart skipped a beat, I swear it. 
	But Sam found a way out of his grasp and suddenly Audré was running faster than before.
