Back at the motel, the four sat on the bed in silence, their minds wandering on where the four children could be.

"Not their house, not your apartment, not the university. So where else would they be?" Grace asked.

"Dylan." Finn said. "You know this place more than we do."

"I–I don't know places they'd want to hide kidnapped children." Dylan responded.

"Abandoned places?" Sam suggested.

"Too obvious." a voice said. They all turned around and saw Audré sitting on the window seal. The golden autumn light brightening him up. The trees behind him giving him some sort of scenery.

"Alright know-it-all," Sam began. "Where would they hide them then?"

"I don't know. But you and I can always scour the area." he suggested.

Sam rolled her eyes and let out a quiet groan.

"I've transformed into a cat far more than I should've today."

"Too bad. If we want to find those kids and give Dylan time to find the note then we need to scour."

Sam sighed. Then she turned to Dylan. "When we're gone, you have to look everywhere you know to find the note. Wait ten minutes after us so the Sins don't think we're up to something. They're clearly just sitting and waiting, but that could also be their plan of distraction."

"I don't know how to find the note you're talking about." Dylan said.

"Just focus on it. Everywhere you go, constantly think of it. That's how I stay a cat and how he stays a bird. If we stop focusing, we'll transform back. You on the other hand have to think of the note so it has a clear path for you to follow. Rather it's through visions or through spirits." Sam explained.

"Dylan," Audré began, "You can find it. It's just looking for a way to get to you."

Dylan gave a nod.

"We'll give you rides to where you need to go–" Grace began.

"No, you guys go with them to find the children. I'm finding the note even if I have to walk all night for it." Dylan assured.

"No, this is our last night. We have had no time without interference to get said note." Sam said. "You have until midnight or the Sins stay for another four to five years."

Dylan let out a shaky breath. "Okay."

"No pressure." Audré assured.

"No, there is pressure." Sam reassured.

"Don't say that!"

"You want me to lie to her!" she turned to him.

"Yes! You'll stress her out!"

"You guys act more like siblings than Audré and I do." Dylan said.

"You want to start that–" Sam turned back around.

"We're wasting sunlight by arguing." Finn cut in.

That's when Sam and Audré stopped fighting and transformed, leaving the motel room.

Grace and Finn followed behind and Dylan waited.

She waited ten minutes before heading off into the early evening.

As Sam and Audré scoured Gravestone, they were constantly fighting one another through their minds. But part of their connection was cut out as they went farther and farther away from the other.

"How much faith do you have—sister?" Sam asked.

"Far too much for you to—stand." Audré responded. "And you?"

"I—know. Part of me thinks—won't work."

"Don't think—that. She'll do fine."

"That's what you—"

Sam broke the connection until she found a place to search. She went inside and looked around only to be disappointed.

"Find anything?" he asked.

Nope. You?"

Audré flew in the sky, looking down at the trees, but constantly had his eye on a certain cell tower.

"Nothing. But do you know—tower?"

"The what tower?"

"Cell tower."

"No, why?"

"Because I'm getting an odd feeling from it."

"Then fly your ass—it."

Audré shifted his weight, making him move forward towards the cell tower.

It wouldn't be long until he made it there. He landed on a wire and looked over Gravestone. The golden sunlight overlooking it. Making the city look more orange than green.

Then he flew down, to see if there was anything near the bottom. Once he made it there, he untransformed and looked around, until everything went black, and his connection with Sam was broken.

With Sam, she immediately stopped as she tried to connect with Audré but it didn't work.

"What the hell?" she thought.

She tried to talk in the connection, but it immediately went back to her thoughts.

She untransformed and began running to where he said he was. Her mind was constantly on the thought of him getting hurt and her having to explain to Dylan. So running as fast as she could, she tried to stop that thought from being true.

But time was short, and midnight would be soon once the daylight sunk.
