Grace drove the three to Warner street but parked far enough to the point that the Sins couldn't find Grace's van. Then they walked down the street.
They walked up until Dylan heard their voices in a house with closed windows and no lights on.
"Dylan will come looking for them sooner or later and that's when we make the move on her to get the note." Rowan's voice declared.
"She said she didn't know it." Emu's voice said.
"She could be lying."
"No, she really doesn't know it." Tella's voice said.
There was silence in the house.
"You go around to the back, I'll get their attention in the front." Grace said to Dylan. Dylan gave a nod and went around back while Grace and Finn approached the front door.
"You're sure this is going to work?" Finn asked.
"Yes, they can't reveal themselves as Sins when they're humans. They'll have to play along as well." Grace assured.
Once she got to the front door, she knocked and the door opened to a young man with black hair but with a scar on their cheek.
"Can I help you?" His voice was soft. Grace couldn't get a good look at his face as most of it was covered by a hood.
"Yeah um–my boyfriend and I need to make a call but we left our phones back in Willow Water. Do you mind if we use your house phone?" she asked, with an innocent mask covering her lies.
"And your sword?" he asked.
"We just came from Willow Water, and she's just a bit anxious that the infected made it here." Finn lied.
The man sighed and let them in, opening the door wider. Grace looked over at Finn and smiled, as he had a worried look on his face.
They entered the house right as the weather turned cloudy.
Grace made eye contact with another guy with black hair and a girl with blond hair, both having almost disgusted but surprised looks on their faces.
Grace was given their house phone and dialed her own phone number. She smiled a bit at the fact that the plan was working. Until someone picked up her phone. A breath left her when she heard her sister's voice.
"Hello?"
Grace was silent.
"H-hi. It's Grace. Uh–I don't have my phone on me so I'm using someone else's." she began to lie more.
"Grace!" an excited voice said, with a bit of relief was heard from the other side of the phone.
"Yeah-yeah. Uh–we'll be a bit late coming back. We kind of got stuck somewhere in Gravestone and haven't found our way to your place. But we'll be there soon. I promise."
"Didn't you just leave?"
"Y-yes, but um–" she looked back at Finn. She waved him over and he took the phone from her.
"Hey, it's Finn. What Grace is meaning to say is that we'll be at your place in a couple of hours after we find our way around Gravestone. Just make sure you don't do anything stupid before we get back."
"Okay? Wait, what's—" Olivia began.
"Thank you. Oh, and make sure those boys you're watching don't kill one another. We can hear them being a bit aggressive in the back there." he smiled.
"Guys shut up!" Olivia's voice was faint as if she turned her head away to yell at them.
"Okay," he chuckled. "We'll be there soon." he hung up and saw the others behind them. He cleared his throat. They still had too much time before Dylan could get them out.
