Sam ran in the direction of the cell tower and once she got close to it, she transformed into a cat and went into the bushes. Scouting the area before finding a door into a box-like building. There had seemed to be a crack in the door that was letting in the very last sunlight that was out. So she booked it and ran in.
Getting in, she almost hit a wall but stopped herself and saw the stairs leading down. And heard muffled voices. Quietly, she went down the stairs and stayed out of any light.
When she heard footsteps coming up the stairs, she arched up and went against a wall. Four people ran past her. And she could tell who they were.
Rowan.
Tella.
Emu.
Sol.
When they left, she ran down the stairs, making a small hop onto the ground. Her ears perked up when she saw Audré in a chair next to the children.
But he had marks all over him. As if they tried getting answers out of him and he wouldn't budge. She ran over to him and untransformed.
"Audré," she breathed. "Are—"
"Dylan found the note." he responded, keeping his head down.
Sam went tense.
"She what?"
"She found the note and the Sins could tell. They're after her now." he said with a shaky breath.
Sam took a hand off his arm and saw blood on her hand. He was badly wounded on his arm, from what seemed to be a deep cut.
"Shit." she gasped.
"I'm fine."
"No you're not." she moved so they were in eye contact. "You're bleeding."
"I know that." he paused. "But you need to find Dylan."
"Grace and Finn will." she paused. "I'm here with you and they're finding her. I won't leave you just because Dylan has the note. She is strong."
A faint smile lifted on Audré's face.

Dylan ran until reaching her brother's home, before receiving a call from an unknown number.
She answered it with a confused tone in her voice. "Hello?"
"Dylan. It's Grace."
"Grace? How did you get my number–"
"It doesn't matter. Where are you?"
"At my brother's house off Stonewalk avenue. Why?"
"We're coming to get you."
"No, Grace, you don't understand. I need to find my brother."
"Sam's got it. We know because she ran off saying to find you instead of following them."
"Grace, where did Sam go?"
"She said something about a cell tower. Why?"
"I'm going there. Goodbye Grace."
"Dylan, wait!"
Dylan hung up and sprinted out her brother's home. She kept her mind on a cell tower. Thinking of the one that was most used and had better sources of power.
Then leaves fell to the ground, leading her to the cell tower.
"It's more than just finding notes. It's also used for finding Protectors." she thought. Before she knew it, there was a honk behind her and when she turned around she saw Grace and Finn in the van.
Finn rolled his window down. "We'll take you to the cell tower! Just get in!" he shouted.
A smile formed on Dylan's face. She ran over to the van and got in.
"I know a shortcut to where they are." Grace said, turning the van around.
"No it's fine, there's a path of leaves leading up the hill and around." Dylan assured.
Grace stopped the van and looked at her. "Path of leaves?"
"Trust her. She's got more instincts than we do here." Finn said.
Grace sighed and made a nod. Before she turned the van back around and went up the hill.
When making a turn, the van suddenly stopped.
"Grace?" Finn asked.
Grace looked in the internal mirror of the van, only to see a purple tentacle holding onto the rear end. "Crap."
Then appeared a silver creature, Sol, who was abnormally walking fast to the driver's seat. Grace backed away from the window a bit.
Then Dylan's side was covered in a shadow, and when she looked out the window, she saw Rowan. She undid her seat belt and backed away from that window when another tentacle ripped the door open.
But then Rowan pulled her leg, bringing her closer to him. He grabbed the collar of her tank top.
"Where's the note Dylan?" he asked.
Dylan gulped. "Where's my brother?" she said with a shaky voice. Rowan grinned, not answering her question.
"Answer my question first," he said.
"I don't know where it is." She lied.
"And I don't know where your brother is." he grip got tighter.
"You're lying." she snapped.
"And so are you." he pulled her closer. "I'm willing to torture you as well to get answers."
Dylan's eyes widened. "What did you do to him?!"
"Oh calm down. He's still breathing." he stopped smiling. "But Sam won't make it in time to save him. And neither will you."
"Dylan. Dylan, are you there?" Sam's voice entered her head.
"Yes! Yes I'm here! Is Audré alright?" she responded with panic.
"He's fine. He has a bad cut but I can fix it once you banish the Sins."
"I can't do that. I have no idea what the note says."
"Please Dylan. I need you to try. I can't leave your brother's side at the moment and I know the Sins caught you. We've lost and I need you to fix it." there was a pause. "I'm sorry. I wish I could guide you at this moment. But I can't."
Dylan took a breath, trying to calm her heart rate down.
Then she looked up at Rowan and made a swift kick to his knees. He lost balance and tumbled over giving time for Grace to try and speed off.
"Go!" Dylan shouted.
"I'm trying but Tella's holding us back!" she shouted back.
"Just accelerate! The bumper will just have to go!"
Grace released a loud sigh and accelerated, releasing the bumper off the van and they sped off. She made continuous turns trying to get the Sins off their trail, but in a split second, Sol appeared in front of the van and Grace slammed on the brakes, nearly making Dylan fly forward.
"Grace go, it's fine." Finn assured.
"Grace, if you don't go he will get us." Dylan added.
Hesitant, she stepped on the accelerator once more, to see Sol move out of the way and they sped off once again.
Daylight was out.
