I look down at the silver ring on my right hand, a promise ring.

Yesterday on the plane I was asked to be Jayces girlfriend. I still shivered at that word... I swore after my last breakup I wouldn't promise to anything or anyone, but I gave into him. He had promised to love me, to protect me, and do whatever to make me happy. I was beginning to see what he wanted of me.

I sighed loudly, bringing my self out of my thoughts. I lugged my tires body from my bed and stripped entirely, reaching for my clothes I had laid out from the night before. Today me and Jayce planned to take Hali and Denver out for the day, I pulled on my jean shorts that were faded and torn. And slipped a yellow strapless shirt that showed a small amount of my belly. Revealing my crystal belly button Piercing that Jayce still didn't know about. I sat down on my lime green stool that was arranged in front of my vanity, and began to twist my hair around my fingers. I decided on leaving it natural since it was already curly, but I wrapped 2 pony tails around my wrist just incase. I slid on my silver flats that had one gem on them that resembled my belly button ring. I stood up to admirer my image in the full length body mirror,

"Whats that?" I heard a male voice ask from behind me.

I turned around quickly to see Jayce, in green and blue swim shorts and a tight white muscle shirt that clearly showed his abs. His smile went to a frown as he narrowed his eyes at my belly, I shifted my hand to cover it but he caught me off guard.

"When did you get it?" He asked sounding sad,

"My 16th birthday, Kelly convinced my dad to let me get it..." I told him feeling my confidences disappear.

"Alright, lets go," He motioned for me to fallow him and I did.

We were instantly greeted my Hali who came trotting up the stairs wearing booty shorts identical to mine and cow boy boots. I crooked a brow at her, and she batted her eye lashes flirtingly. Her green T-shirt came a little off her shoulder because it was to big for her, I pulled her into a hug and laughed at her little entrance. We walked down the stairs and dad had Denver in a red polo shirt and and matching red checkered shorts,

"No," I told him.

All 3 boys shook their heads at me in a yes motion, and I took Denver by the arm and pulled him into his downstairs bedroom. I helped him into orange swim shorts with cars on them, and pulled a white T-shirt over his head that had a black dump truck on the front.

"There you go," I said hustling him into the living room so we could leave.

"The beach?" Hali asked, as she watched me packing sun screen, bathing suits and towels into a bag.

"Yes," Jayce cut in.

We gathered up everything else and climbed into the truck buckling the kids in, Jayce planted a quick kiss on my cheek.

"Ready?" I asked him.

"Yup!" He squealed like a little kid,

We got in and I fired up the truck, Sweet home Alabama blared on the radio. I rolled down all the windows and turned it up a few more notches, Jayce covered his ears in annoyance but me and the kids sang away to our favourite song. I sped out of the driveway and down the road still playing my country music loud. Once we reached the parking lot the kids un buckled themselves and reefed on the door handles.

"Ok ok!" I hollered.

Before I could even come to a complete stop Jayce had jumped out and threw open the back door. I walked around to the back and pulled out the bag, seeing as Jayce had Denver on his hip and Hali leaping around him like an excited puppy.

"Wait for Maci!" I heard Denver call.

"Maci!" Hali shrieked, Jayce turned to face me and held out his hand to me,

"Ca'mon princess," He teased.

I ran to catch up with them, earning some cat calls and whistles.

"Back off," Jayce growled.
