The sounds of beeping filled my ears, cards and flowers filled the room. Chloe sat next to the empty hospital bed, I stood outside the door, my back pressed firmly to the wall. I could feel the tears staining my cheeks, my emotions became stiff and I could barely make out a smile. I watched more nurses rush into the room across the hall way and family members rush out. Jayce's family hadn't shown, Kelly was the only person who came. Before Jayce had gone into a coma and had been taken to get immediate surgery, his final request was for me to go home. His hand reached for mine I caressed it gently,
"It's going to be ok," I assured him.
Then his body shook and fell still, I watched as he was wheeled away. A breathing mask was forced onto his face and wires and tubes were attached to his lifeless body. I still held his hand in mine, I refused to let him go.. my father and the nurses begged for me to let go, I wouldn't.... They pried our hands apart and took him away from me. At that moment Chloe had walked into the room, only to see me being dragged away from Jayce, Screaming and crying as hard and loud as I could. I was bailing and fighting my way back to him, what hurt the most was Chloe didn't utter a cry. But now she sat in the room he had been in for hours, I waited outside the door for him to come down the hall way. I knew he wasn't continuing his stay in that room, and that he would he in the room where he got his surgery. So I just waited...
At the very thought of my handsome man walking down this hallway to greet me, A tall doctor came and motioned for me to fallow him. As we walked threw the halls he didn't say a word, until we reached a door labeled '335' he opened his mouth to speak.
"He's awake, and can hear you, but it hurts him to move," He told me.
I nodded my head in agreement and he opened the door up, pushing me in. I turned to face the doctor but he had already closed the door leaving me alone with Jayce.
"Jayce baby?" I cooed to him, I wondered over to him and ran my hand through his thick blond hair. His eyes fluttered open and locked on mine,
"Oh baby," I cooed at him again,
He looked up at me and his eyes turned sad, he opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out.
"Shh it's ok, don't talk. It's going to be ok," I told him with such courage.
"I just wanted to tell you that Yes, Yes I will take you back," I smiled at him, A laugh escaped his mouth as he tried his hardest to ignore the pain. Chloe came bounding into the room, her arms flawing about. She forced herself onto the bed and placed kisses all over his face. He screamed in pain, but she didn't listen.. I pushed her off of him as the doctors and nurses came flying into the room. Tears fell from his eyes and I knew he felt pain, I could tell he was angry and that she wasn't the least bit sorry. They ordered her out and for him to sleep, I begged to stay at his side... I wouldn't leave him again! No not for the second time.
