Chapter 26

JAYCES POV...

She gazed down at me and smiled brightly,

"Now what are you waiting for?" She teased, I couldn't tell her I was afraid to ride Nike, She would laugh at me or something.

"Well?" She quizzed again,

She ran Rega toward me and water splashed up her legs, she truly was beautiful. Feeling daring I jumped on Nike's back and raced him out into the water, she tilted her head back roaring in laughter.

"Whats so funny?!" I asked her,

"Nothing!" She squealed,

I waited Nike out farther into the crashing waves and she fallowed close behind us. For once I was glad to be at the beach, though People stared at my wounded chest I didn't care. I watched her lean down onto Rega's neck and Urrg the horse to go faster, she did. Trotting alone side us splashing water onto Maci's legs and up the side of Nike and I as well. We walked the horses deeper and deeper into the crashing waves, until our legs hit the cool waters surface.

"Maci?" I called out to her,

"Jayce," She teasingly replied,

I jumped off Nike and let his reins fall from my hands, I trudged to her and lifted my hands to her waste. She turned her body so both her tan legs hung over Rega's side, I held her tight and pulled her off the horses back. She wrapped her arms around my neck and her legs clung to my hips, She kissed my nose playfully and stared into my eyes. Her blue eyes brightened under the sun and her tight shirt made her curves visible. She watched me with ease, giggling at my studying her and running her hands through my blond hair.

"I love you," I whispered into her ear, She dropped her legs from my waste and her hands fell to her side. She pulled away from me and turned back to Rega, grabbing her reins in one hand and Nike's in the other she headed back for the shore. I stood in total shock, I didn't know what to do or what to say. The waves splashed my calfs and the sun beamed in my face, hiding my dry tears and silent cries. As I looked up to see that she was kicking water towards the horses, who stomped at it and ran back and forth across the bank. Like lightening I charged for her pulling her back into my arms, her beautiful smile left her face and she tried to force us apart. I gripped her arm tight and made her look into my eyes,

"I mean it Maci, If I didn't I wouldn't have said it, or be here for that matter!" I basically yelled,

Tears streamed from her face as she tugged away again, only to turn around to yell back at me.

"You say you love me, But I can't believe you! You left me so easily and now I'm not so sure!!"

"Mas! You don't think it hurt me to? Seeing you and Hayden so close after he beat you! And sleeping with Chloe killed me!! I didn't want to do it! And you should know that by now!! I know it's only been 3 weeks but girl, I love you!" I screamed in reply, I could feel the hot tears falling down my face, I quickly wiped them away with the back of my hand.

"I don't know!" She whispered, I could see the hurt in her eyes, I shouldn't have yelled at her like that, And I knew it.
