I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself in the towel, I had laid out. Yesterday had been all that ran throughout my mind since I fell asleep in the arms of Jayce. After Hayden had left yesterday morning Jayce had caught me by surprise. He kissed my neck and lips tentivly and took me into his strong arms and carried me up to my room. I plopped down on my bed and he landed on top of me, he wrenched off his shirt and mine shortly after that. We spent the majority of the morning intertwined together, our bodies so close we could have been one. That lasted till about 1:00pm... By then we had forced ourselves apart and went our separate ways. Now I could hear him talking on the phone with if I had to guess Chloe. I dug into my dresser drawer and pulled out a pair of white skinny jeans, and a woven belt. Heading over to my closet I heard Jayces calm voice get louder and rage with anger.
"Jayce?" I called out, hoping my voice was louder then his,
"One sec," He yelled back.
So I pulled on my white jeans and looped in my belt, tying it loosely so it hung down a little. I then took my time to slip on my grey dressy tank top I had pulled from my closet. Taking my silver heels from the floor of my un tidy bedroom I placed them on and buckled them up.
"I look ok?" I asked over my shoulder.
Jayce had found his way into my room and stood behind me facing the full length body mirror arranged in front of me.
"Perfect, but whats the occasion?" He questioned me.
"I got a meeting," I told him proudly,
"With?" He raised his brow at me, it was defiantly obvious he is full of curiosity.
"At the University, Hayden is taking me," I replied while fixing my top. He stared at me in total shock, his eyes fixated on mine, looking back at his through the reflection of the mirror.
A truck honked loudly and i turned on my heels planting a kiss on the corner of his mouth, his smile widened. But he grabbed my hand before I could run from the room,
"Take me back," He begged,
"Let me think about it," I said as I pulled away from him.
"I can't be without you!" He called chasing after me. I left the room calmly and Ran down the stairs, trying not to trip over my short heels. I grabbed for my brown leather riding jacket and stepped out onto the porch, taking in the view of my back yard. Trees scattered everywhere, and the driveway leading down the side of the house into the back. 3 barns sat neatly to the left of the house and the paddock narrowing down the 12 acre property. I looked out to the pasture to find old red and spirit, heads down eating away at the grass. I heard the truck door slam shut and my gaze quickly focused on Hayden. He strolled up in a pair of blue jeans and a white T-shirt, he wore his john deer belt buckle and I noticed his cow boy hat on the dash. I missed this Hayden, the guy he had become is more like a playboy. He opened his arms and embraced me in a tight hug, a bear hug to be exact. I squirmed away from him and patted his chest lightly,
"Ready to go?" I asked him,
"Yup," He said as he tugged my arm gently and we walked toward the truck. I climbed in and buckled my seat belt, he had definatly cleaned inside and out of his sparkling white 4 wheel drive 87 gmc wrangler pick up. His was cleaner then mine but wasn't as new. I continued to inspect his fine interior and the cover on the seats. I knew from the past that the seats were torn and faded, so for his 17 birthday his dad bought him this seat cover.
"Here," Hayden told me, nudging my arm. The whole time I had been thinking about the memories in this truck I hadn't noticed we were driving. I jumped out of the truck and slipped my riding jacket on, I looked over to Hayden who was also pulling on a jean jacket. We walked hand in hand to the double doors of the front of the University, I pushed one open and stepped into the beautiful school. This being my last year of high school I wanted to get a head start for next year. A brunette lady around the age of 30 walked through the long hallway to meet us.
"Mrs. Paquette," She stuck her hand out for us to shake it,
"Maci," I reached out to shake her hand,
"Oh ya and this is my best friend Hayden," I told her, He took her hand and shook it gently,
"Right this way please," She motioned for us to fallow her, She lead us into the office and had us sit. I watched her lean over the counter and whisper something to the secretary behind the desk.
"Right, ok," The secretary replied, She smiled over at us and paged the Priceable from the small office behind her. A tall woman with short white hair emerged from the door, her blouse was navy blue and her matching navy blue dress pants had the schools name written in small letters across the zip up pockets. Without saying word to either of us she picked up 2 applications and handed one to each of us.
"I'm not applying," Jayce began,
She raised a finger to her lips and put a large envelope in my hands.
"have a nice day," She said while shutting her door again. So we left, just like that... She hadn't been to friendly, and It was obvious she hadn't been a fan of us either. The long and silent drove home took me deep into thought.
Should I take Jayce back?
