Chapter 18

"He what!" Hayden yelled, he sat up in my bed and crossed his arms over his bare chest.

"You heard me," I mumbled rubbing my tired and sore eyes, I got no sleep last night. For one thing Jayce and I broke up and then he kissed me! Also that Hayden slept over and I forgot he was a bed hog. He used to stay over all the time when we were best friends, not saying we haven't become close again but this time we agreed to stay just friends. For some odd reason I didn't 100% trust him, I mean he's always been around and i've usually had no problem with it... But now it just feels different. He nudged me hard causing me to fall over from my cris cross position,

"Ow," I grumbled siting back up slowly,

"Are you ok?" He asked me cocking his eye brow at my startled expression.

"Just fine!" I managed a fake smile. He must have noticed the sarcasm in my voice because he sat there shacking his head at me,

"Alrighty them if your so fine..." He started in a teasing tone, But before he could finish I thrusted a pillow in his direction and leaped off my bed, sprinting for the kitchen. Once downstairs I hid behind the island waiting for Hayden to come through the door, and my request he dragged his tired body into the room and climbed onto the stool.

"Maci, We've been friends for years! And thats always been your hiding spot!" He said while laughing at me,

I sighed heavily and joined him on the other stool, leaning over the island counter to grab a slit of paper.

"Went for breakfast, will bring you and the boys something, Love dad" I red out loud,

"Boys?" Hayden questioned while looking at me confused,

"Jayce and you dufus!" I yelled back at him, he turned to face me with his sad brown puppy dog eyes. He curled his bottom lip over and whimpered softly like a dog.

"Really?" I said sounding annoyed, I crossed my arms across my chest and stuck my nose in the air. Jayce came waddling into the room like a demented penguin, I couldn't hold back my laughter and by the looks of it neither could Hayden.

"Got something up your ass bro?" Hayden snickered loudly,

"Shut up," Jayce screamed at the top of his lungs, I sunk in my chair because he sounded really pissed. I think I even felt the house shake.

"I slept wrong and now my back hurts if you must know," Jayce boomed, snatching the note from in front of me. Last night being the first night we haven't been together since he got here, I didn't sleep to well either. I mean while having Jayce beside me I got used to it, but now that I don't... It doesn't feel right at all. Hayden glanced at me and back to Jayce who had also been day dreaming at the time,

"Everything ok?" He asked me again,

"Mhmm," I huffed.

Hayden pulled back from the table and helped to my feet, he slid his coat off the back of the bar stool and planted a kiss on my cheek.

"Gotta go Mas," He sulked,

"I'll be fine," I smiled up at him, I had one thing in mind and I was planning on fulfilling it. I watched him leave, closing his truck door and racing out of the driveway,

JAYCES POV..

I wanted her, more then anything in the world I wanted Maci to be mine. I hated myself for ending it, but It seemed like the right thing to do! I looked over at her watching Hayden leave, her eyes turned almost sad. I knew she needed me, after I kissed her last night thats all I heard. Her stirring and getting up and walking around all night, lucky for me she didn't sleep either. I tugged off my shirt and lowered my boxers a little, I had something in mind, and her is what I planned on getting.

MACI'S POV...

I felt warm arms wrap around my waist and turn me swiftly around. I stood facing Jayces naked torso, I lifted my hands to stop him but he is much stronger then I am. He shook his head no and moved his mouth to my neck, kissing the outline of the low cut shirt I had on. This is to much, Of corse I wanted this, But we aren't even together! He's with Chloe....

"What about Chloe?" I asked,

"She doesn't have to know," He answered between kisses. I tilted my head back and allowed him to continue... for now.
