Chapter 29 (Final chapter)

JAYCES POV....

They told me to leave,

They encouraged me to go,

But I didn't.. For her sake.

She had been awake on the way here but for some odd reason she had passed out in the ambulance.

I looked out the tall window down toward the parking lot, cars filled each freshly painted parking space and some were neatly arranged in the enclosed staff only section. I stood up and walked over to the bed where my beautiful girl was lifelessly lying in. She was now cold as stone and the only movement was the steady rising of her chest as she breathed. I brought a hand to her cheek and soothed the hair from her sweet face,

"Can you smile for me Maci?" I cooed,

Nothing....

"Please baby girl?" I tried again,

Still nothing....

The small monitor next to her bed started to beep faster, lines moved up and down across the screen, she wiggled and twisted for a minute before screaming. Doctors rushed in around me, I still held her hand and I was determined to keep hold of my love. I pushed my way to her shivering body, I couldn't bare to see her suffer anymore. I climbed onto the bed and snuggled her into my arms, she stopped squirming and shaking for a moment.

"Baby it's ok now, I got you," I told her, She sat up and started to scream again, My heart beat fast, I did the only thing I knew to stop her. I forced my lips onto hers, cutting off her screams, I outlined her lips with my tongue. She gave into my kiss and I felt a smile creep onto her face, for the last 15 hours she had been in a coma, in shock or something like that. I couldn't lose her again...

I pulled back and pushed her back onto the bed, I curled up with her in my arms and it seemed to calm her down.

"Son you need to leave," One of the doctors told me,

"No!" She screamed at him,

"Ok, ok," Another one but in,

She wiggled back into my arms and hugged me tight, I squeezed her back but the doctor stopped me.

"Be careful sir," The red haired one ordered me,

"Why?" Maci asked her,

"Well there is one small reason that you passed out," She began,

"And Well Maci your pregnant," She finished.

"I'm what?!" She screamed,

"Baby it's ok!" I assured her,

I reached for the ring that I had in my coat pocket for after we left the hospital but disided now was a better time.

"Maci! Will you marry me?" I begged,

"Jayce I..... Yes!" She yelled wrapping her arms around my neck, I picked her up and held her tight.

"I love you baby!" She said excitedly,

"I love you to sweet heart," I replied.

I strapped my 2 year old into her car seat, and struggled getting my fat belly over to buckle her in. I'd be turning 21 in 5 months, and my little girl, Blair will be 3 in less then a month. Her small blue eyes twinkled while her dirty blond hair flowed down to her shoulder blades. Jayce had been put into the military leaving me pregnant and raising Blair by myself, he would be coming home in 2 weeks just in time for my new baby to be born.
