"Wake up beautiful," Jayce whispered to me. He kissed my neck and down to my chest, brushing his soft lips across my bare skin. I smiled up at him as he hovered over me,
"Maci?!" Hali yelled from the hallway,
Jayce jumped off the bed and ran to the door slamming it quietly and turning the lock. He leaned his sexy body against the door and sighed heavily,
"Morning," I called to him,
"Ya," He sighed again.
I watched his cloth-less body stride over to mine and wrench back the blankets, his blank expression quickly turned into a evil smile. He picked me up throwing my body over his shoulder and running into the small master bathroom. Gently he sat me down on the sink and turned the shower on, I hadn't known it was cold or I would have protested but instead he led me under the cold stream.
"JAYCE!" I screamed at him,
"Maci!" He said excitedly,
I pulled him into the frozen water and pushed him in its direct path, stepping back to the far corning of the shower and crossing my arms.
"It's on Blondie," he snickered,
"Bring it," I taunted him.
He pulled me into his arms and I squirmed and wiggled, but he wouldn't let go of me. The scene from last night flashed into my mind, I felt tears fall from my eyes and I climbed out of the shower, wrapping myself in a thick towel.
"Baby it's ok," Jayce tried comforting.
I shook my head no and showed him the test I had taken earlier before he had awoken. Negative... I wasn't pregnant, I guess maybe I hopped I would be and this saddened me.
"Oh Mas," He tried again,
"No, it's ok," I told him wiping away my tears.
"Maci, we can try again if you'd .like," He whimpered.
I looked up at him with sad eyes, I saw his widen with a devilish look to them. I ignored his invitation and walked out of the bathroom, removing the towel I got dressed. Pulling on a pair of white jeans, and stringing a woven belt around my waist, I tugged a white bando and a blue tank top that was tight at the bottom over my head. Perfecting my outfit with a silver bracelet and matching necklace and grey and white stripped flats. Jayce walked up behind me in his white muscle shirt and red and orange swim shorts, wrapping his arms around my waist and burring his head in my neck. I shook him off and headed for my bag, I pulled out my brush and ran it threw my thick hair leaving it natural once again.
"Maci, we should talk," He said to me.
I opened the door and let the kids charge in, one jumping onto the bed the other plopping onto the floor with an oof. I took Hali into my arms and brushed her hair and pulled it back into a high pony tail. After Getting the kids ready to head out I climbed onto the jet black stool leaning my elbows on the island counter.
"Why me?" I asked no one in particular. I noticed I still had the ring on my ring finger and I pulled it off letting it hit the counter top. I was shooken from my thoughts by a quiet knock at the door, I got up to open it reminding myself of the night before. I hesitated before griping the knob and pulling it open to reveal Hayden. He stood there in shock at my appearance, taking in my entire body, I cleared my throat and he looked back up meeting my scared blue eyes with his cold green ones.
"Maci I want to talk to you," He began.
"It's really not a good idea for us to speak Hayden, you know what happened between us and why it happened, and last night didn't make anything on your part any better," I shouted out.
"Maci please let me explain," He begged,
"60 seconds... go," I growled.
"What happened last night wasn't my fault, I would never try to hurt you, and you know that! And what happened between us was a mistake! I love you girl!" He cried out,
"Hayden... I..." I started crying,
He pulled me to the porch swing with him, I missed having him around.. a lot. I felt his arms wrap around me and his face snuggle into the crease of my neck.
"I missed you Hayden," I told him,
"I know girl, I missed you to," He replied. We sat like that for a few minutes, holding each other. His slick brown hair was about mid ear, he flipped it dramatically. I laughed quietly and the cold in his eyes disappeared to a warm greenish colour. I replayed what had happened between us in my head.... My 16th birthday it had been just us, we sat at his house and watched movies all night. His parents both worked nights so no one was home but us, though we had been a couple before at that moment we had been just friends. He started drinking a little and I didn't like it so I told him I was going home, which he didn't approve of. By the time I had gotten home I was in tears, he had tried to get me to sleep with him by beating me and threatening me. I haven't trusted him since, but something tells me this apology means more to him then the others had. Hayden leaned in and planted a kiss on my cheek, but just as his soft lips touched my cheek Jayce came storming onto the porch....
